Performance Mods!: |
Race ECM, K&N, Supertrapp
Dyno shows 89 HP and 75 ft/lbs.
|
Problems/Miles (Please be specific): |
Dynojet II helped with too-lean FI but went bad soon and stranded me (removed, back to Race ECM, FI is not perfect but liveable). Speedo sensor blew, rewire kit installed, OK now. That's all.
|
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: |
Chin fairing from X1 (looks great) ,both wide and narrow hard bag outers, tall Zero Gravity windshield, billet oil cooler, Erik Buell signature.
|
Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): |
Deals Gap (not Florida!)
|
Why I do/don't ride a Buell: |
Have been riding Buells since my M2 in 1997 (26K Mi), Love my two Ducatis and my Victory, but I always want to own a Buell. I'm very comfortable with the handling and still better torque/weight than any bike I've owned.
|
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
The Ulysses is an Adventure Tourer, not a Sport Tourer, and not my cup of tea. Make another Sport Tourer with real wind protection and long-distance legs using the next-gen motor (whatever it is).
|
Life History/Philosophy: |
Attitude is the difference between Ordeal and Adventure
|
Top speed on 2 wheels (mph): |
145 or so on my Ducati 999, but not as meaningful as lap times on a track.
|
Preferred engine oil (brand/grade): |
HD 360 in the Buell (Syn oil blew out the breather excessively), Motul Syn on the Ducs
