Problems/Miles (Please be specific): |
If I only drive 35mph or under the Blast runs fine.
But when I take it on the freeway and then get off and idle at an intersection, the RPMs suddenly drop and the engine just quits. This is only at a stop, not in motion (thankfully). It won't restart right away either so I have to push it off the road (embarrassingly in front of all the Japanese Sport Bike owners) and try for five minutes to get it restarted. The engine will turn over, thump slowly a few times and then die. Repeat. Until it finally starts again. If I keep the throttle rolled on a little at a stop (and keep the RPMs up) it won't die. I'm waiting for my service manual to be FedEx'd but in the meantime, any ideas?
I'm thinking fuel delivery problem. Maybe a vacuum in the fuel lines. Or just an idle speed adjustment problem. How much would all this be to fix at HD if I don't wait for my service manual to arrive?
