Lightning - Barend mirrors, removed all belt guards, lopped off cheese grater and relocated turn signals, mini LED turns on the front, different flyscreen, header wrap, full paintjob, soft-compund super-moto's...stick like a razor. |
Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): | Anywhere I can, or...anywhere I can get in trouble that is... |
Why I do/don't ride a Buell: | It's 'merican!...LoL, and the only Buell I could afford (I WAS ONLY 16, GRR!) All's well though, as I'm keepping my baby thumper fo-eva. Lightning - Plans changed, went with and XB9 instead. Best bike I've ever ridden. Still have the Blast, but the 9 rocks muh world. |
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: | Lemme see...I don't know, I'm just a young lad so to me they are great...could be a bit cheaper though... UPDATE: EBR can keep making killer stuff. I can't wait for 2011... |
Life History/Philosophy: | I'm pretty boring actually...um, I started riding when I was 9 on a Suzuki RM80. Then my uncle gave me his old Yamaha 175 (hadn't been started in 12 years, ugh...after much work got it running though). Then in '04 I got my motorcycle permit and rode my mom's Honda Rebel 250 for the summer (she never did anyway). Then after getting my license in February of '05 I bought a 1983 Honda Shadow 500 for 800 bucks. Great bike, ran well and all that. Then one day I'm surfin e-Bay and come across my Blast. Well I did some research, found this site, did alot of reading and decided to get the Blast ($2225 buy-it-now). It was located in Aberdeen, SD and the guy brought it up the weekend I bought it. I did alot of my mods within 2 days of getting the bike...(that's in between school from 7:30-2:30, and working from 5-11 everyday. Oh, and did I mention that the 2 and a half hours between school and work was for homework? You can just about guess what that means...late, Late, LATE nights. Oh well, the in-school sleep depravation and bad hygene was worth it :P) Now I love my Thumper and plan to enjoy it for as long as it lives...LOL. Now I bought an XB9S and am even more in love. Roll on y'all. |
Top speed on 2 wheels (mph): | 95 on the Blast, 137 on the XB |
Preferred engine oil (brand/grade): | Don't know yet, none of my bikes have used any oil, well...at least I havent changed it in any of them...hmm...that doesn't sound right... |
Riding Theory: | Step 1: On any straight open stretch of road, twist the shit outta the throttle, lift up that front wheel, and hold that position as long as you can. Step 2: Repeat |
