Servicing Dealership: | Myself,I'll probably use American Eagle up in Corinth if I have any more warranty issues... |
Performance Mods!: | K&N air filter, TFI unit, and a Special OPS pipe... I highly recommend them all... I"m putting this in the Performance section also:Pirelli Diablos,I"m on my first front and second rear, I can't believe the difference they make... Like Tony says about Frosted Flakes, they're GREAT !!! |
Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | I had the stator and regulator burn out at about 12K miles. Had a small leak in the oil cooler lines. Shop reflared the lines and it's been oil tight since. That was about 6K miles... |
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: | Only cosmetic and ergo so far, changed the heel guards to the black ones and installed a Zero Gravity Sport Tourning windscreen, color same as stock.Installed adjustable clutch and brake levers from American Sport Bike, the bend fits my smaller hands better... I also purchased a Luggage Locker tail bag that I'll probably put on this spring for longer trips... Update 7/2005 I installed a Muller Power Clutch a few days ago. It really helps ease the clutch pull, highly recommended... Oh Yeah, I put on a set of ThrottleMeister throttle lock/bar ends. They work good, look great, and I believe they also take out some of the vibration. Also put on some Buell Traction Grips, they've got a 'barrel' shape that's not bad. 11/05 I bought one of the -04Y tailbags from Daves. It's smaller than the LL bag but still has a good amount of room. I can fit my small air compressor, phone, a couple of power bars and a spare pair of gloves. I don't use either bag usually for my commute, just for longer weekend rides or when I'm out of town... |
Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): | |
Why I do/don't ride a Buell: | I like being a bit different and love the low end torque... Good streetable tractor power... |
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: | Minor concerns:the kickstand is a bit close to the gear lever, when I roll my bike out in the morning I always use the clutch when I put the stand down with the engine running. The clutch and other controls are a bit heavy compared with other bikes... Duel filiment head lights ie both sides on for low and high beams... |
