Performance Mods!: | Modified airbox, Daytona Boss or V&H slip on, Re-jetted the carb. Routed breathers into a catch can. New style shifter. |
Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | All of the usual crap. Multiple rocker box leaks, until the new gaskets were used. Three faulty rollover valves in the fuel tank. Sidestand failures. Random electrical gremlins. Three primary gasket failures. (if it happens again, I'll be using Cometic or James gaskets). Speedometer sensor failure. |
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: | removed the fender/belt guard. Traction grips, trimmed tailsection... you know, the basic cosmetic stuff. 2001 dash and tach. Upgraded primary chain tensioner. |
Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): | Anywhere but FL. I like TX Hill Country and anywhere in the N. GA, TN, NC area of Deal's Gap. |
Why I do/don't ride a Buell: | I saw my first Buell, an S1 in '97 or '98 and had to have one. When I was stationed in Turkey, I found out that I could get one through Military Car Sales so I got the M2. I figured it was carbed, so I didnt have to worry about a dealer or any sensors going out. |
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: | Bring back a real sized bike. |
