1750 miles. Bike sat when I purchased. Had carb cleaned and boot replaced. Ran like a champ....for a short time. Then backfired really loud when I parked it in the garage after riding...never started again. Took it back to the shop and they screwed up my throttle so now I have cruise control and found out the backfire blew the boot off the carb. They reattached boot to carb. Last ride the elcetronics went crazy..lights flickered, speedometer spun completely around, bike sputtered and acted as though it was cutting off. I pulled over and continued to try to give it some fuel...finally picked back up and made it home safely. PEriodically it continues to sputter like it's going to cut out and then picks back p. Just recetly I pushed it over a mile home because it finally left me on the side of the road and would not restart or pick back up. Friend looked at it and the screw top on the spark plug resistor came loose and the plug wire was barely hanging on to the plug. Replaced the spark plug and reconnected...the bike is still sputtering and misfiring after it warms up. I'm scared to get stranded. I am getting really frustrated and ready to say screw it!! What is wrong with my bike!!!Any ideas?
