Performance Mods!: | PRACTICE! Each spring, I marvel at how much better I feel, from riding every day, all winter. All that slippery pavement is good practice. |
Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | 10,000 in 11 months broken clutch cable wireform, leaking rear rocker box gasket, loose belt tensioner, All repaired under warranty Apparently I get terrible gas mileage |
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: | Dirt everywhere. I'd rather ride than wash. |
Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): | BZ Corner/Glenwood/Klickitat WA |
Why I do/don't ride a Buell: | Sportbike performance, along with engineering/innovation a machinist can appreciate |
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: | Offer a good looking bike with 75 (rear wheel) HP and 75 MPG for a commuter. Made in USA, for under $6000 The Blast was a start, but lets see what you can do, Erik, to steal the market during the coming gas crunch. The "big block" engine philosophy is the thinking of the past. |
Life History/Philosophy: | 10 Yrs as a manual machinist, Spent my 20's hopping freight trains around the US, Now that I have a family, the Buell is my freight train |
Top speed on 2 wheels (mph): | 145. It aint going any faster till I go on a diet |
Preferred engine oil (brand/grade): | |
