| Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | Purchased: 8352 miles, 3rd owner, imported to Canada from Penn.USA. 8352 miles- Oil tank leaking (drip down drain hose.) To be repaired next oil change using method from Buellistic. 8600 miles- front rocker box gasket leaking(paper), replaced both. 11815 miles- broken speedo cable Replaced with aftermarket one for Harleys (Mid USA part # 49613, replaces part #67051-73 & 67052-78B) after being unable to locate stock item in Canada, and tired of waiting for backorder from USA. (estimate 1000 miles not recorded on odometer) 12060 miles- Replaced Dunlop 205's with Bridgestone 020's. Rear Dunlop almost to wear bars with just over 4000 miles. 13100 miles- Spanish made turn signal flasher quits after 2 days in the rain. Later replaced with stock 2 terminal Tridon(ground wire omitted) 13600 miles- front exhaust header bracket broken off. To be rewelded and hopefully reinforced. 13969 miles- speedo drive tab breaks (estimate 2500 miles not recorded on odometer) Rear Bridgestone 020 down to wear bars after est. 4000 miles(disappointing-no better than the Dunlops) 18667 (shown) speedo cable breaks again at speedo drive 20100 Front muffler mount broken, replaced with new improved vesion. 24720 Right side rear isolator fails- replaced both. 31600 Left side front engine mount bolt broken. Replaced stock front mount with Nallin. Breadbox replaced with free Kuryakyn due to loss of front filter mount. Throttle and idle cables replaced: throttle fraying and about to break. Front wheel bearings replaced:left side failing. New rubber: BT021 front and rear 34,852 Drive belt breaks (original-close to 40,000 actual miles !) Replaced with new type Good-Year XB belt. 37,300 BT-021 down to wear bars on rear, front getting close, 5700 miles, beter than 020's but not great. Replaced with Continental Road Attack's. 38,456 Speedo drive tab breaks again. |
