Nallin 88" engine built for Bonneville 2002,121.2 HP,Red Shift cams,oil system mods,42mm Mikuni,race pipe,Dyna single fire ignition,polished intake,big K&N air filter,6 speed Baker trans, Now has 1250 motor with NRHS heads,Red Shift cams,Baker 6 speed,etc.etc

Problems/Miles (Please be specific): |
Rear rotor replaced 200m,carb needle broke 25,000m,front rotor loose & replaced 30,000m,crank seal replaced 30,000m,ignition ignitor cup broke 47,000m and again at 65,000m,carb slide broke 48,000m leading to piston failure at 49,000m.

RKA soft bags & tankbag,ignition switch moved,custom bar ends and mirror spacers,much polishing and some chrome,custom front pulley cover,S-2T bars.

Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): |
So far,the Bratpac ride with Ferris,Henrik and all on Blueridge Pway,Cherahoula Pway,Wayabaldy,Etc.Now,replaced by all CA BRAG ride 2002,where a pack of hooligans and I railed the backroads of CA for 7 days!!

Why I do/don't ride a Buell: |
I rode Harleys for years and was always modifying them to perform,brake,and handle better.When I test rode the S-2,I knew what I had been trying to do to my Harleys.I sold my FLH and bought the S-2 the next week.

How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
More power,reliably,and less vibration.6 speed trans.

Life History/Philosophy: |
I have ridden and owned many different and varied motorcycles(30+) since I was 14 years old.This motorcycle has given me the most pleasure,riding it and the friends I have made because of it.

Top speed on 2 wheels (mph): |
190 approx mph on the Salt at LSR's(on Buell)190 mph on my "street" Hayabusa on the salt and just did 203 on it at Mojave Magnum,,225 at Bonneville on turboed GSXR 750, 206 at El Mirage on the same bike,207 with no bodywork-"naked".., and best effort to date is a 200.4 mph in the half mile and a 244.3 run in a mile and a half at mojve.

1995 S-2,Snap Red(of course)vin # 1B9RT11H9S3133258,built 7/94.Bought 5/02 with 5800 miles and then took on CA BRAG ride ,put 3000 more miles on.This one is stock except for Supertrap,and SE ignition.And now heads done by Nallin's.Sold to Sportyeric in Canada.Now have an S-2 that is a compilation of several.I bought a salvage S-2 from E-Bear and used parts from that for my racebike and for my latest street S-2.It is black with black powdercoated frame.1250 motor.The wheels and suspension and frame are from my original S-2,motor was from Ferris's S-2.S-1W ROC racebike,bought CHEAP off eBay and am restoring to it's original state as much as possible. |

The original Bonneville bike is shown above and featured the 88" naturally aspirated motor.The next year an Aerocharger turbo system was added,bumping hp to 177+.2 records set.The next year saw a 1250 motor with the turbo set-up.2 records set.The next 2 seasons saw a nitrous system and a larger Aerocharger added to the 1250, 187+ HP. |
