Why I do/don't ride a Buell: |
After years of owning Yamahas, and always wanting to slice a lowboy Harley into a road racer, the X1 Lightning made me crazy for it. I had to have it, and women love it because it is in fact a Harley.
|
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
Erik reads posts, I bet. He has his hands full and I am no bike engineer. I'll not sell my bit of history, my tube-framed wonder. In 20 years it'll still amaze me he ever got to build the Lightnings, and I hope he is still amazed, too. My bike could only be improved if Erik saw it and smiled, maybe signed my paint job!

Life History/Philosophy: |
I have always liked precision planning to go with danger. Running a table saw or a high power laser or doing a stunt involves great care and planning as well as safety first. I ride like that. I ride like I am invisible to motorists, therefore I do not get caught in the trap of presuming anyone sees me. By the time I insert the cylindrical key in my X1, I am focused and ready. No focus, no ride. Riding to me is precious. See you on the road!
