BLAST/REAR WHEEL HUB PROBLEM AT 10,200 MILES HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE THING AS TOLD BY THE DEALER BEARING INSIDE ALMOST GONE. THEY WILL REPLACE UNDER GOODWILL WARRANTY. THEY DID A GOOD JOB BY CALLING THE FACTORY AND NOTIFYING THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM. $600 TO $700 JOB I'M GETTING FOR $100 ACCESS FEE IS WHAT I'M TOLD. THEY FOUND THIS PROBLEM WHEN DOING THE 10,000 MILE SERVICE. XB9S NOTHING SO FAR.

Why I do/don't ride a Buell: |
IT HAS A DIFFERENT PERSONALITY.I'M ABOUT 6 MONTHS IN AS A MOTORCYCLIST AND HAVE BEEN KEEPING UP TO DATE ON THE DIFFERENT MOTORCYCLES BEING PRODUCED. MY FAVORITE STYLE MOTORCYCLES ARE NAKED MOTORCYCLES, OR STREETFIGHTERS. MY BLAST SOUNDS REALLY MEAN AND I GET A LOT OF COMMENTS ABOUT IT. THE MODIFICATIONS MR. BUELL HAS MADE TO HIS BIKES SINCE 2003 IS SECOND TO NONE.

How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
THE STYLING IS GREAT, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT TRIUMPH IS TRYING TO COMPETE WITH THE DESIGN WITH THEIR NEW SPEED TRIPLE. THIS BIKE HOWEVER I FEEL IS BUELL'S MAIN RIVAL BUELL NEEDS TO COME UP WITH A ENGINE THAT WILL COMPETE WITH IT. THE 12 IS GOOD BUT IF BUELL CAN PUMP OUT A LITTLE MORE PERFORMANCE TO GO WITH MR. BUELL'S DESIGN. KTM IS ALSO COMING OUT WITH A NEW STREETFIGHTER CONCEPT 990 DUKE THAT LOOKS COOL. THERE IS A LOT OF COMPETITION. I JUST LIKE BUELL TO HAVE AN ENGINE THAT WILL BE CLOSE PERFORMANCE WISE TO THESE OTHER MAKES. THE CHASSIS DESIGN IS VERY INNOVATIVE JUST NEEDS A LIITLE MORE PERFORMANCE TO KEEP UP WITH THE INDUSTRY.

HAVENT' REALLY COMPARED I HEAR MOBIL 1 IS GOOD AND AMSOIL BUT OVERPRICED. I'VE BEEN USING HD OIL. I'M GOING TO TRY MOBIL 1 15W 50W.
