Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | Set static timing to correct setting - retarded ~ 3 degrees -1030 miles. Rerouted, replaced, and repaired chafed wires and cables under airbox base plate - 1300 miles. Had rear shock rebuilt due to leaking seal - 13,500 miles. Replaced defective fan - 14,500 miles, started going bad around 10k. Replaced leaking rear cylinder rocker box gasket - 15,300 miles. Replaced exhaust valve actuator cable - 15,360 miles. Replaced front brake rotor due to extreme pulsing - 15,500 miles. Replaced throttle return cable - 15,650 miles. Replaced stator - 17,098 miles. Replaced defective ECM - 17,200 miles. Replaced leaking rear rocker box gasket - 23,300. (Second time) Replaced pulsing front brake rotor - 23,800 (Second time) |

Why I do/don't ride a Buell: | Excellent handling with usable power delivery. Outstanding gas mileage. Great bag setup. Low maintenance and easy to work on. Inexpensive parts. |
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: | Six speed transmission with a lower first gear. Better heat management. |
Life History/Philosophy: | Owned and ridden bikes for 45 years. Had a few Japanese bikes as well as British, German, and Italian bikes - sport bikes with and enduro and dual sport thrown in. Do my own maintenance, keep road bikes a long time - usually 50 to 100k miles. Ulysses is my first American bike. |
