Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | XB: Low Fuel Light comes on with about 1.1 gallons still in the tank. (Billed as .7) XB: 3400 miles: Oil leak from fitting on oil return line between oil pump and oil cooler. Fixed with teflon tape during oil change in my garage. XB: 15,000 miles, Shorted speedo sensor . Fixed under extended warranty. XB: 15,300 miles, charging system failure. Replaced stator and voltage regulator. "Fixed" under extended warranty, took a total of 4 trips to the dealership and over 90 days total! Got the bike back with a broken mirror and missing bolts on the shifter. Thanks for nothing RMHD! XB: 18,000 miles, Shorted TPS sensor wire inside frame by velocity stack. Fixed with electrical tape and a wire tie. XB: 18,300 miles, Charging System Dead Again. Replaced Voltage Regulator. XB: 21,000 miles, Charging System Dead Again. Voltage regulator and Stator replaced 34 days before the expiration of the Extended Warranty. In the shop for 17 days. Counting the originals, this is Stator #3, Regulator #4. Sportster: Rocker box leaks, front 3000 miles, rear 6000 miles, front again at 9000 miles. Fixed under original warranty. Sportster: Broken ignition wires (inside the boots) at 23,000. Tight stock wiring! Sportster: 34,000 miles, Dropped Exhaust Valve, Stator, Main Drive Bearing, all replaced under extended warranty. Sportster: 43090 miles. Broken Belt. Sportster: 49500 miles. Broken idle cable (infrequently oiled by operator!) Sportster: 50011 miles. Clutch Throw Out Bearing Sportster: 50400 miles. Headlight fell off. Yeah, fell right freakin' off. Mounting bolt just snapped. |
