Why I do/don't ride a Buell: |
I ride a Buell because it suits my preferences... I wasn't focused on any particular brand. When buying this time around I had certain criteria that had to be met: sporty standard or sportbike, med-large displacement FI twin; not chain driven; low maintenance. Initially looked at BMW and Moto Guzzi... then found out that the XBs also met my requirements, which is what got me to the dealership. Within 3 minutes into the test ride I knew I'd found my bike. Didn't know it was the Low at the time, but that's what I need given my 30" inseam. When riding it I feel it's suited perfectly to me in all respects, which is about as good an endorsement I can give anything I own.
|
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
6-speed gearbox keeping the current 1-5 ratios and adding a 1:0.8 top gear overdrive for hwy use, or alternately offer the primary drive setup of the XB12 on the 9 as a no cost option. Stock gearing has the engine spun up too much on the Interstate. Oil temp added as a mode and trip computer functions integrated into the LCD display.
