Why I do/don't ride a Buell: | Like the instant torque, vintage feel of this big long stroke V-twin and the great handling with lightweight design and outside of the box thinking |
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: | Forget about racing, it no longer improves the breed for street riding, forcing engineers to user ever shorter stroke engines. An efficient engine has high BMEP at lower RPM. This is best achieved with long stroke and small, compact combustion chambers, with watercooling. Look at the top engine design companies like BMW and Honda. For their street cars, they use long stroke engines for efficiency. |
Life History/Philosophy: | Everything strives for a balance but nothing is ever in perfect balance |
Top speed on 2 wheels (mph): | 155 on an RC30, not a Buell, nor a Vincent |
Preferred engine oil (brand/grade): | |
