Buells are what H-D builds when they build motorcycles rather than agricultural equipment.

Performance Mods!: |
Problems/Miles (Please be specific): |
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: |
Rerouted breathers directly to atmosphere bypassing the air filter. Put a Zero Gravity Sports Touring windscreen on it. A good move.
Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): |
Around Greers Ferry lake to Shirley then to Mtn. View via 9, then thru Guion via 14 and 58 thru Sidney and then 167 thru Batesville and back to Heber.
Why I do/don't ride a Buell: |
It is an engineer's motorcycle. If you understand the problems you can appreciate the weird things they did to solve them. Not the cheapest way, or the normal way, but there is a reason to the weirdness.
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
A means of lubricating the swinging arm without taking the whole motorcycle apart.
Life History/Philosophy: |
I had my first two crashes on H-D products in the mid '50s. Fortunately I have learned how to avoid crashing since then, and now that I am approaching geezerdom I realize the miles left to me are limited and don't want to stop like I started -- crashing.
