Problems/Miles (Please be specific): |
Retaining ring that holds on the detent plate came off around 1500 miles caused shifting problems. Fifteen miles later the stator shredded itself. Blown rocker box gasket

Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: |
Removed rear fender. Removed the outer air cover and back plate. Retained the snorkel and attached a K&N filter. Spring loaded foot pegs ($8.00)

Why I do/don't ride a Buell: |
I wanted a Harley and a sport bike. So I compromised and got both.

How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
Better training programs for the dealers mechanics and a better supply system for parts. My bike was down for 3 months for the detent plate and stator.

Life History/Philosophy: |
Had many bikes dirt and street since I was 7 yrs old. The X1 has been the most fun I've ever had on two wheels.
