Hi all, I'm new here and have yet to get my Buell. I ride a 1984 VFR1000F until I can get my XB12Ss or XB12X; decisions, decisions. I can't decide which one.

BTW - is there an easy way to find a GOOD Buell dealer?

Hello All,
Just introducing myself. 2008 Uly with less than 300 miles so far. Traded in a Screaming Eagle Elctra Glide for agility, and comfort. Harley's are really lack luster on comfort and missed the joy of my much younger dirtbike days. Think I found it!!

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on a public forum.
I have lurked here for a while and have
learned allot about the Buell Motorcycle
community. I am 43 years old and thinking
of getting back into motorcycling after
about an eight year break. I rode a 1973
FLH for about 12 years. I was wanting
something that had less weight and better
handling and this has brought me to Buell.
Hope to someday share in your discussions.

Good evening to all,
I ride a 1999 Road King Classic. I get to ride Buells fairly often because I work on them at a dealer. I can't wait to test the 1125R. I have ridden several including a couple of mutant buells from Redneck engineering(they were fast!!!) I have owned a 2001 Blast which was a great around town and work bike, but it had to go during hard times. I think the Uly's are cool to ride and boy are they smooth!! in the turns. I look forward to reading the topics of discussion.

Dave

I currently own an '84 Honda Nighthawk CB700SC. This was my first and only bike thus far. Been riding it for 13 years. Finally decided it is time to move up to a bigger bike. I am considering the Uly and the BMW 1200GS Adventurer. I test drove both today. Both have their good and not so good points. I am leaning towards the Uly, mostly due to the price difference. Looking forward to sharing info with you all if I end up with a Uly.

I just purchased my first bike a few weeks ago, 2008 Firebolt. Love this site, just found it by accident. Looking for upgrades for the bike that wont void the warranty.

Good gear (i.e. Aerostitch roadcrafter one piece suit) and track days.

Both are great upgrades for the bike!

Oh, and HID lighting kits ain't a bad idea either, if you are riding at night. Oh, and a GPS is fun... and soft saddle bags...

Hey whats up all I recently bought a 98 s3t as you know this has bags on the side, first time for me. well I tore it apart and lowered it about 2.5 inches I will have pics to show you soon, I have to modify one more thing since it is so low my belt is rubbing on the braise for the battier. I also made risers for the bars so I could lower the fork tubs up about .800 of an inch (a little more than 3/4). first time posting so not sure how this works if someone want to e-mail me you can shawn_mcdaniel@hotmail.com thanks and ride on

Well Howdy, Looking at getting a Ulysses and wanted to stop in here and introduce myself. From what I have read on here looks like a good bunch of folks and it will be nice to join y'all. I hail from Georgia and I have been riding since the age of 14. I have ridden most every type bike and am looking to do some adventure, distance type, touring. I currently ride a foreign cruiser but am getting tired of scraping the pegs, exhaust and sometimes frame in the twisties so its time to upgrade. : ) Looking forward to the time I can proudly say I am a Buell owner.

"The time has come [the Walrus said] to speak of many things: of shoes and ships and sealing wax and cabbages and kings..." [but, wait, with apologies to Lewis Carroll and the Looking Glass and Alice, allow me to paraphrase the above: "the time has come did Eric state, to drop that throbbing lump and give the Rotax Vee a shot at giving sales a bump; for engineers have all been stymied by the air-cooled spud whose potato bark will ne'er be heard above a whomping THUD as the Helicon arrives with elegance to spare--and Yamazukie fans are smitten by this pair.]

Greetings - Have a Kawi 1500 classiic FI, a KlR650, & ST 1300, obviously very different purpose machines. After a few years of 15,000 mi/yr 2 wheeling have developed more of an interest in dualsport riding, if not the skills. Looking @ a motorcycle that has the comfort of my ST & 1500 with some occassional dirt road capabilities. Narrowed it down to 1200GS or Ulysses...leaning towards the improved 2008 Buell. Any thoughts/comments welcome. Regards, John

Hi everyone, I recently traded my Suzuki in for a Firebolt XB12R and I really love riding it. Today we put money down on a Blast for my wife. The dealer told me about this site, so I am posting for the first time. I am looking forward to meeting other Buell people in the Winchester VA and Charles Town WV area.

Hi there Buellers. I have owned a XB12SS for about 18 months and love it so much I may need help. Dr Jack has given me some counselling but only Professor Eriks riding therapy seems to work! Just been on a 5 day run with the Buell Riders New Zealand annual rally in the middle. Great bikes great people and even great weather!

Just wanted to say hello to everyone, been watch, lurking from the sidelines for a few years. Guess it's time to speak up and be heard. Really enjoy the site, some real interesting folks in the forums. But it's good to see everyone has their opinion. I'll post pics of the Buell's later.

Ride Safe, ride straight.

Hi, I've watched Buell's for a long time. My first set of racing leathers were bought from Eric Buell in 1986...Interstate leathers.

I'm watching with great interest the 1125R.

Hello! I was a sales manager at an HD/Buell dealership in Ca. before moving to Texas a couple of months ago. I and one tech were the only employees at the store that liked Buells. The tech even traded his RK in for a thunderbolt, and his wives Dyna for a lightning. i rode everything i could, as a manager, and just never got totally comfie on the stock Uly. Now however, I want a dual sport bike! I'm currently shopping and trying to decide where to throw my $$$$. This will be a third bike, the others stay!

Hey I just joined and wanted to say whut’s up to everybody! I joined cause I see a lot of your bikes have been pretty tricked out, and I’m having some problems getting mine tuned in.

I have an 02 blast with a K&N filter to replace the stock filter and a Vance & Hines exhaust kit and the jet kit from Vance & Hines (but really a Dynojet kit).

All I did was follow the instructions and drill out the pilot jet, put the clip on the 3rd notch of the new needle and replace the main jet with a smaller one than stock allowing less fuel but more air allowing the bike to run better...not the case in my situation. It still ran like there was not enough fuel so I called Vance and Hines and they told me to go to the 4th notch and change the jet.

Bottom like it still pops and feels slow on take off anyone been through this or does anyone have the same upgrades and have it dialed in? What should I do?

Edited to revise from all uppercase.

Just bought my first Buell, on eBay. 2007 XB9, joins my collection of 9? No riding left this year in RI. May want to do a headlight modification. Still have to do it's first oil change. I really need a pack for gear (log book, socks, lunch, etc.).

Just dropping by for an introduction - just bought a 2003 Blast with 1200 miles. First time rider and first time bike. This bike truly makes it easy for us newbies - I was up and on the road in 10 minutes. Granted it was 3 am on a deserted road : ).
