Hello everyone just seen all of the pictures on some of those Archives. I've been thinking about getting a Buell for awhile now ever since a lightning XB12S blew past me a few months ago. Otherwise this would be my first Motorcycle, and real bike since riding dirtbikes Years ago. Currently looking at this XB9S(no scraches, new tires, 15,000 miles) like the 12's better though. } |

Hey everyone, I've been absent from the world of Buell for a few years, but I'm glad to be back! I had a stock 2000 Cyclone that I bought new, but only owned for about a year. 2 years ago I bought a new 2005 Triumph Bonneville America. Nice little cruiser, but I really missed my Buell. So I've been scanning craigslist for about a year, looking for just the right bike and I found her! 99 Thunderbolt with wide saddle bags. 8000 miles and in near showroom condition. I bought it and sold the Triumph the next day. It already had a Forcewinder intake, ceramic coated header, Vance and Hines exhaust, PM wheels, billet pegs/controls and a Corbin seat. It ran really rough with stock ECM though, (lean misfire) so I plugged in the Buell Race ECM and now she goes like a scalded cat! Hang on...WOO HOO!!!

Hello all. I'm an old guy in CT, currently with a 97 Harley FLHR. My son, a new rider purchased a 07 Blast. A little different than I'm used to, so I registered here to get some info/insight on basic maintainence needs. |

Welcome aboard, Mike! Road Pigs Forever!! In addition to my 3 tuber Buells, I've got a '96 FLHR which is the most reliable bike I've ever owned (out of 30 or so over the last 40 years--you're not the only old guy here). It's coming up on 80,000 miles, and it's been about as trouble-free as an anvil. Enjoy! rt |

Hello to All Thanks for making such a great board. I have really enjoyed all the stories and information that can be found here. I have been wanting a Buell for quite a few years and was finally able to purchase an 07 XB12R 2 weeks ago. I really love the bike and enjoy learning to ride all over again. Hope to see you all on the road. Chris |

I'm back on a Buell again - I bought a 1998 S3T. I've gone through the bike and added a Forecwinder air cleaner and Streetfighter exhaust. I wrapped it to keep the heat down but it broke after 500 miles (no warranty). bought another one but i'm wondering if having it jet hot coated will reduce the heat. next idea is to fab some heat shields. Any ideas? |

Stopped by to drop a line the other day but was on PC at work and couldn't get a photo of my XB9R small enough to post here. Signed on about a month ago after Reed at Sun HD told me about this site. He's getting me the 2nd 1125 to arrive. Here's a shot of my 9R that has since gone to Texas with my little brother. Thanks to everyone for helping me thru these weeks of jonesing for that new bike. Z

Hi all. i HATE my Buell. bought it 3 weeks ago and other than a few rides down the block to make sure it shifts its sitting. i did full maint on it. ready to go except for one bad thing. my tire of choice michlin pilot road is on national back order. wont be in country till end of month. so i hate my new bike cause i cant ride it... this is what i ride while waiting. i built this 1974 sporty in 1976. its 80 inches and a lot of goodies. it is quicker than buell, probably not faster though

First of all...I'm a guy...lol. I'm 48yrs old and live in a small town in Ontario Canada. I owned a bike ...like 30 yrs ago, but never got my licence. So really this is my 2nd forray into this sport. I've done some dirt biking, 3wheelers, snowmobiling and most recently 4wheelers. I bought a 07 XB12Ss this summer slightly used 2500k on it. Got my licence by doing a course late August. Really got riding in Sept. Put on say... 2000k's since. I realized this isn't actually a great beginner bike but what the hell. I swore I would not get a sport bike...but would get a cruiser. Love Harley's but they are way to $$$ and was thinkin maybe a Honda. So crusin the net I fell in luv with the Lightning Ss, so as not to dissappoint my friends ...by not getting a Harley...I got a Buell...problem solved...lol. So far...luv it. It stumbles a bit in the low gears 1-3 ...which is annoying but I'm sure we'll get somebody to help me out. |

AZ Buell Owners - Arrowhead HD/Buell is sponsoring a Buell riders club. Buell and all other sport bikes and riders are welcome. The dealership will provided the conference room for the monthly meeting. They've asked me to head up this group. Their support is "key" to having a top notch riding club. This partnership will allow us to sustain and get Buell Demo back in Arizona again. The dealership is having a weekend event on Saturday 10/27. I will be manning the, Arizona Buell "Owning the Curves" Club table from 10 AM - 6 PM so please stop by, send friends to come out say hello and get joined up. NO FEE just a willing soul & bike to ride the curves :-) Lets make this an exciting club "owning the curves".}} Yours in "Owning the Curves", Bob Borbeck azbuellowners@yahoo.com (Cell) 480-200-7733 I own a '06 XB9SX and a '03 Heritage Softail Classic. Hey gang tested the 1125R at VIR in Sept 13th. Absolutly great bike. & Great class. The folks did a great job. As a member of club 50 and as real departure from how I ride, and have been....its clear to see why there there is still a ton of fun to be had. Great Bike. A ton of thought went into the development. Great fun |

I just started riding this summer and bought my very first bike. What a thrill!I am 51, retired and spending major time learning how to ride and smiling inside my helmet. Now I am one of those guys that sits on the sidelines here and just reads what everyone else writes about - I love the old school and knowledge vault forums. I want to thank the many experienced riders who share how to perform service of the Buell in so much detail that when I look at my 2000 S3 I can just "see" how to service my Buell before I even start. With the extra confidence many of you have provided, I laid wrench to Buell for the first time today and took off my wheels to get the rubber upgraded from the stock Dunlops to Michellin CT2. New rubber makes for a new bike! Anyhow thanks so much for sharing your passion - it's keeping me out of the shop and letting me have more fun with my toy. Rocker Box gaskets are next on the list! From all of who sit and read, thanks and keep on riding and writing! |

Hello everyone. I wanted to drop in and introduce myself. I am a U.S. Marine stationed in Blacksburg VA (for now). I've put 1100 miles on my new 2007 Uly in the past 8 or 9 days, and absolutely love it. I've been riding for a while, but this is my first Buell, and after 5 or 6 bikes it looks like I finally got it right. If you're in the area and want to ride, give me yell. |
