Hey, I am looking for information about a steering dampner for my wifes Buell Blast. I just came back from Willow Springs where I saw a blast with this mod. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Scott! Welcome to Badweb! Thanks for the hospitality you've shown me during Christmas for the past 3 years! I've been preparing the pictures from my trip home this past year to post in the C-3 section of Storm Fronts as an Adventure, but once I got to the pictures I took of the in progress works (sidecar rig, Gilbert Brown's bike, etc.) I didn't know if you'd like them posted or not. For now, this pic of the Buell S2 bodyworked drag bike will have to suffice.
You got a cool shop and, even though you call it small, you do some GREAT things with it! Don't make yourself a stranger! 1313 |

Hello, New member and I dont really know how this forum works. Have been browsing trying to find a place to post a question... Why doesnt my brand new Ulysses (2006) sound enough like a Harley? |

Welcome Mizilus! Click here ( http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/17143.html ) for the sponsors section, and look at the Special Ops and Drummer sections. I had a special ops pipe on my XB9SX, and it made it sound like a Harley. It sounded great. (then I pulled it off 6 months later and went back to stock because, well, it made it sound like a Harley ) |

Hello Mizilus, I think you want that v-twin rumble not that Harley sound. A Drummer will get you there. |

Thanks folks. My buddy has a Thunderbolt (I think it is)and it definitely has that rumble. He said something about a pipe and a chip. ? The sound of that bike turned me on from the first moment I heard it. For more than a year he has been bugging me to get a Ulysses when I told him that "I've been wanting to get a bike, but I want something that is street legal but can go offroad." Well three days ago I got the Ulysses. Took my first real ride today. Did a little more than 100 miles. Boy the "from 40 to 70 mph" thing was a drag. Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the help. |

Miz< I think alot of us Buellnuts were drawn to the bike because of that rumble. Then came that first ride when we said to ourselves, self I LOVE THIS THING! You'll find yourself taking the bike more and more. It'll save you on gas too. I even have made up excuses to not drive the cage. Buell has a race kit for the XB's, not sure about the Uly. Look through this site carefully. You'l find some great info about Buells. Alot of very intelligent people to converse with. Alot of ride info too. Happy trails and enjoy that bike! |

Hello everyone, great site with tons of info. I pick up my new Uly on tuesday morning and excited about my first ride on a very cool machine. Ive always rode Harley cruisers or full dressers and thought I'd buy a Uly to ride back and forth to work (I live 45 minutes from the city) and save wear & tear on my diesel truck. Looking forward in participating in this fine site. Here is a pic of the wife and I from last summer. My wife also rides (got her licence on a Blast) a new 1200 Sportster but on real long trips likes to ride on back of me.

Post anywhere you want as I've found some really cool folks here as well. They dont seem to mind and are very helpful with all kinds of good advice. Check out the Storm Fronts in your area and if you need parts or advice Court is always in session. Be safe. (Message edited by wile_e.coyote on February 02, 2007) |

Hey Babeflarr, I should have mentioned all the great sponsors of the site too. American Sport Bike and all the others are good sources of parts and accesories too. Al at American Sport Bike is exceptional at his job out in Cali. |

The roo thing would definitely suck. The worst thing we have in east Tennessee is the dang LEEFERS.You know people that drive around looking at the trees in autumn. When they see one they really like they just stop in the middle of the road and when ya come zippin' through the twisties it can get a little hairy. |

I just bought my first Buell, a 2003 Blast and am looking forward to some pleasant cruising on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I need some gear, though. Any tips on where to buy at deep discounts? |

Welcome to BadWeb! You will find a great group of folks here with a wealth of knowledge. Gramy - check out newenough.com for gear. They carry a wide range of gear at discounted prices. I just picked up a pair of textile pants for myself. Hard finding something that comes in "short"! Kristi
