Hey all - Been surfing the site for a while and decided to finally say hi. A special hi and thanks to Buellish, the guys at Earl Smalls, and Chris at Stone Mountain HD/Buell. Seems my M2 got hungry and decided to ingest a small screw thru the intake, trashing my front cylinder, and those guys have helped me get the needed parts on the way. I'll post pics and the whole story when I get it back together, it started as a minor project and has led to a complete top end overhaul, thanks to a 25 cent screw and a unlucky bounce. |

Ouch! Sorry to hear that Kilroy... I always wondered about that when I see those choppers running open intakes. I look forward to hearing the whole story... |

Hi from Pattaya Thailand, I bought a '97 S3 Thunderbolt 13 months ago At least 6 months of this time was spent in various workshops doing safety recall work (shocker, exhaust etc), new battery, stator, tail light lens, fibreglass front mudguard and rear hugger, rear number plate holder etc etc. It's still not perfect but quite rideable. So this love affair had a slow rocky start. But now it's bloody wonderful !! Am averaging 500km per week travelling all the twisty roads in this part of Thailand. My first bike-cam on my tank was OK but vibrated too much at idle ; but I knew that already. I Will make/modify a new camera mount to record the comings and goings of elephants, monkeys, snakes and water buffaloes as they wander across the road. My sincere thanks to all the boys at Powerstation Motorsports in bangkok and especially to HD's John McEnany for approving the safety recall work at HD's expense. Very impressed !! This Board is compulsory reading for me. Graeme |

Hi Becksbuell, come on over to the Thumper Forum and hang out with people who REALLY know the Blast. I'm not one of them, mind you, but they really know the bike and can help with anything from maintenance to bad jokes. See you on the board |

Hi, I'm a biker from Finland, Europe, living at the moment in Switzerland, Europe and I'm a proud rider (and owner ->2001) of Buell RSS1200 Westwind -91/-92. It's the first Buell registered in Switzerland.
Bought my first Harley in 1983 (Shovel -73) and still got that one. So more or less like lifestyle for me.
My club is Walkka MC, Helsinki, Finland one of the oldest "Harleys Only" MC club (since 1986). www.walkka-mc.fi |

Hello everyone i've been reading here for about a year, actually since the XBRR was released and the jap bike press (superbikeplanet) started screaming the sky was falling, so I decided to finally put my .02 in. Don't have a Buell yet, will have to keep riding the drag bike for a few more months. I'm still trying to choose between a cityX, Uly or a used tuber. Any ideas? |

Hey I picked up my first buell about 8 weeks ago for $7500. Its a 2006 XB12SS. I have been riding Yamaha bikes for the last 2 years (R6, FZR, YZF600r). So switching to a buell was quite a change, a positive change for once. My addiction to bikes started when I rode a 50cc aprilla race replica down in Panama City Beach, FL. I ended up buying a Suzuki Katana 600 the next week. I own three bikes now and restored a 1995 FZR600 from the graveyard. I like to think I know a little about Mechanical stuff. I live in Marietta, GA off of Powers ferry. I have seen a bueller on a blue lighting close to me serveral time so maybe he is on here. http://web.mac.com/cosman2001/iWeb/Site%202/Buell. html |

Icontender - There are several Buellers in your general area. In fact, March 30-April 1 Suches GA will be over run by Buellers. Stone Mountain HD/Buell and the 3%er's are hosting March Badness at TWO resort. You ought to check it out. Folks are coming from all over for this event. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=4062&post=804031#POST804031 |

Hi guys,I have a 99X1 with tghe obligitory Buell cough. My question is will the ecm from a 99 S3T interchange with my bike.Mine has an aftermaket? race module on it which was installed before I got the bike.I am being told it is not reprogramable but confess I really dont know(I was also under the impression it was a factory Buell race module).Any help would be greatly appreciated as you cant get the harley stealerships here in sunny Greenville,SC to admit they know what a Buell is,let alone help with information or parts. Thanks,Steve |

Wolfie, The factory race ecm is a plain black box marked race use only. The S3 box should work but would require resetting the tps, which is described elsewhere on this forum. It is generally thought that your bike will run better with the race ecm because of issues with the stock ecm mapping. There were several revisions of the mapping when new, the race ecm was the easiest fix at the time. SteveH |

Just wanted to say hello to everyone out there. I've lived here in oregon for 13 years and have only ever seen one other buell on the road. That's one of the reasons why I got one. Plus they are just bad ass!!!
Some of you might know this bike. I bought it from TommyK in florida and had it shipped out here. I can't wait for the nice weather to get here! (Message edited by XB12bomb on January 11, 2007) |

good day, all. having recently aquired a computer, i just discovered this website. i've ridden an 03 xb9 for the last 3 years without any problems, and stellar service from lethbridge Buell H-D. i'm a career gearhead, (30 year automotive machinist by day, certified Fender Guitar technician by night.) i was drawn to the Buells after a 10 year break in riding; my previous bike being a twin carbed ironhead sporty. there were a few bikes out there that appealed to me, but my inner Smokey Yunick insisted on the simplest, best engineered, to-hell-with-what-everyone- else-does machine available. i have not been disappointed. i can do a 1000km day without breaking a sweat on it, the ergos are easy to tweak with the lightning pegs, and it gets great mileage; even better with the race kit, though i actually think that the db level increased more than the performance did. perhaps i'll tweak the airbox a bit while i swap the lego blue bodywork for the white pieces i've been scrounging off of ebay. still need a front fender and a pair of chin fairings, but i'm thinking of running black pieces there and doing the wheels up in black while i'm at it. i've also got a mutant yamaha project; a 277 degree crank xs650 stuffed into an xs 400 frame with dt 400 monoshock swingarm and Firebolt coilover, ideally, i'd like to power this thing with a 3.812 bore Blast engine, but, alas, there arent many Blasts lying abandoned or being sold for 20 bucks at garage sales. though i love my firebolt, i'm actually intrigued by the blast engine and platform in general. every time i see one, i cant help but think how cool one of those little bikes would be with wire spoked 17 or 18 inch wheels, done up like a brit cafe racer. (think 2007 BSA gold star.) wouldn't take much tuning, with a decent power to weight ratio, to go out and smoke that Triumph Thruxton (a cool bike, IMHO) at it' s own, retro cool game. aaaanyway, this website is great; obviously there's a lot of folks that dig Buells as much as i do. hello to all of you, and hopefully i'll see some of you out there once the snow's gone..... rick k.}} |

Hey, hope everyone is doing great! Last year was pretty good to me as I got to finally buy my Buell. Now I see what the whole thing is about. I've been fortunate to own many bikes. Now have three very capable machines. A Buell X-1 02, A GSXR 1100, and a KLR 650. Although I find myself riding the Buell most. I love it and nice to know others share my obsession. |

Hi there, I've just joined after my husband found this awesome site.I have been riding for 20 yrs and owned several bikes but reckon I'll never sell my XB12s.I've owned it for 6 months and after every ride I come home with a silly grin on my face. We live on back country roads south of Auckland in New Zealand with a little gravel here and there, the Buell (and myself) just love the fact that there aren't any traffic cops around here!! so we have a lot of fun.
