Hello everyone. This is my first post. Bought my first Buell yesterday. After reading this board for the last week or so i realized i had to start riding. This is my first bike so i went with the Blast, the learning curve is great on this bike. Looks like im gonna have to park the car, i dont think shes gonna be getting much use anymore! Now i see what addiction u guys have been talking about!!! |

Brodie, congratulations and welcome. The Blast is a great bike and a great confidence builder. Ride it a year. Learn to love to lean. Next year you may want to add that second cylinder. I went that route, and I love my M2, but I wish I could have afforded to keep the Blast too. It was that much fun. Find some fellow Buellers to ride with. You'll learn a lot from riding in groups and they will already have made all the mistakes and can steer you clear. |

Hello, I have a 2002 Blue Streak M2L with 2000 miles on it. Being a bit stronger than the average woman yet smaller than the average teenager(ha ha)... I was a little afraid of the turns on this bike and the power behind it. Somewhere around my third 200+ mile day things 'clicked'. Now I see what everyone is talking about. YAAAHOOOOO! I live in northern Wisconsin. For those of you who have not been here, there are miles and miles of roads that wind, wilderness forests and lots of lakes. It has been warm lately, 80's plus. It is an amazing thing, really to be on that bike and realize, all your finest dreams have come true. My first bike was a 750 SECA that I taught myself to drive while living in Arizona seven years ago. I took it over the Rockies to bring it back here, but it was sort of a disaster when I hit Nebraska I had a cold rain for days on end. I was told 'never' alot about riding motorcycles growing up because my dad is a puts motorcyclists back together again. Now I say, 'never' to giving it up. Yesterday I took the bike through a really dusty lot on the Lac du Flambeau reservation during a pow-wow. Imagine this woman with a helmet and long blonde hair, both feet down in the dust, flying through the potholes. Needless to say I got some strange looks. But it was fun. Can't wait to see how my handling gets in another 2000 miles. Like the Buell badweb board too. I challenge everyone from Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis to come up towards Rhinelander to see what REAL RIDING in the Midwest is all about. Charlotte |

Brodie, Was hoping we could do some riding but Arizona is a little far to go 4 a joy ride.As for the weather, sounds alot like what I deal with in Florida, hottt during the day & thunderstorms in the pm. I ride anyway. The blast is used primarily for commute so I usually get a little wet coming home. The only thing that I have done to her is the Crossroads bars, (and what a world of difference) and waiting on some custom graphics that I just ordered. Anyway if your ever in the area, give me a shout, & be safe..... Ken |

Hello everybody, I have been reading BWB for about a year now (never posting) trying to convince myself why I do or don't need a buell. Well let's just say I am now the proud owner of a 01 X1. I am still breaking in the motor so I have not unleashed the beast yet. But so far I am speechless. I live in Scottsdale,Az and as Brodie said the weather kinda sucks right now. It's been about 10yrs since I owned a street bike and have forgotten how fun it is to ride. If anybody's ever in Arizona let's ride. |

Hello All, I got my first motorcycle three weeks ago (Blast)and it was a surprise from my husband (well he already owned 3 buells, and that's another story). All these time I have rode with him on his S3 and until finally he got me one. I went for my first ride on Saturday after practicing at a parking lot for a couple of weeks. It was LOT of fun! And I said to myself I should have done this looong time ago. Now, I am happy with my bike and I actually started to make the bike my own by putting personal touch on it of course with the help of my husband. For now, the count is 4 Buells and how many more to go? hhhmmmm.... |

Hello everybody, long time reader first time poster. I have had my S2 Thunderbolt for 3 whole days now, and I am seriously thinking about giving up sleep for more time to ride. I have owned several bikes in my past, but not one of them compares to this one. Well I just wanted to intro myself. Must go ride again. Blaster420 |

what can I say that has not been on these pages already. I waited more than 20 years for a Harley for the masses that stopped and went round corners. So to celebrate turning 40 I got myself what i consider to be the worlds horniest bike. A black X1. I must mention that Harley/Buell of Blacktown could not have been more helpfull, and on top of that gave me a season pass to watch the Buell's race in the local comp. Thanx Tom. Now 33 years of 2 wheeled experience, and nothin' comes even close to the exitement of the Buell. Its been 8 months and 14,000ks of pure delight. Would like to hear from other Ozy's on Buells. Keep the rubber side down. Gaz |

Hiya, Am a bit of a 'virgin' in the riding dept. Just got my M2 in the fall of last year. Had hoped to tour the coast of Scotland in Sept. this year for my BDay. Unfortunately 9-11 fallout and a strike that never happened leads me to believe I will be cruising Ontario at best. Had a bike lined up for the end of Aug. but that also got canned by virtue of a break-away from the mechanic who had her denned up. Anybody planning on a trip to Toronto this summer??? I am told I make great riding mate. My fear is that I will lose my skills if I don't at least ride as a passenger. Have lots of biking buddies, but most of them are hooked up. |

Hi everyone, I just picked up a Buell Blast and i'm enjoying it! My other bike is a HD FLHT, quite a bit of difference. I forgot how much fun a lightweight bike can be. The only modification I have made so far is to add a digital tach I used to have on my atv. Its a Tiny Tach, slow to update but it gives you an idea of the rpm. I'm looking forward to participating in the boards. I live in central Il, near Bloomington, any riders in the area? |
