Is it a lubrication, adjustment or R&R fix?

If its the bearings they are cheap and easy DIY to swap.

I didn't know the EBR disks wouldn't just interchange??

I put one on my XB a few years ago and as I remember, the EBR site stated it was a match.

So was there some difference in the hardware? The site says to call if your putting an EBR rotor on an XB wheel.

I would guess either the XB stock or solid mounting kit would work, but maybe not the EBR wheel hardware?
