20 years ago these forums knew everything about Erik, today nothing. Does anyone know anything? |

20 Years ago (1998), Erik was leading Buell in the midst of the tuber era. :-) In November, Erik was participating in the Spark E # Day at the Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. http://www.motoblog.it/post/898568/le-moto-elettri che-di-sarolea-allo-spark-eday-2017 DAve |

I hope he’s screwing off every day. That’s what retirement is for. |

If it is, he posted as anonymous which means he doesn't want to be publicly recognized. |

Erik screwing off? Sorry, it just struck me as funny. He has taken time to do some artsy stuff. On a level beyond where us average people perform in such endeavors. I hope he stretches out and gets in a few deep breaths. He is long over due. I wish he was my neighbor. And if you get to meet him, speak up. |

His works are worthy sculptures for anyone with the yard space, but I don't think he's offered any for sale yet |

I notice that Steve Anderson makes daily tweets about e-bike technology. I can see him getting involved at some point. |

I came here to post that. Mr. Buell will continue to be an innovator forever, the just burgeoning E-bike arena seems a perfect fit for him. |

Ok; so we've got Abe Askenazi at Zero and Erik, ed Laben and Dan Hurda (and who knows who else) at Vanguard. I think that Electric bikes are about to advance at an enormous rate. The MoFoCo had better get their sh*t together if they expect to be competitive with those two companies. |

Steve Anderson is @rashomon2 on Twitter. He posts very interesting stuff about battery development, motors, advantages of e-bikes for commuting, etc. |

Thanks Hugh - I saw rashomon2 & wasn't sure. Additionally, I visited the Vanguardpsparks web site and completed the contact form (support & encouragement) I got a personal response from Francois-Xavier Terny. Pretty cool - reminds me of some others! :-) https://www.vanguardspark.com/ DAve |

An E bike for modest trail riding would be a great offering. It would be quiet through the trees, it doesn't really need to be super fast, and no shifting would be needed to maximize torque. 150 KM range, that's a good day on the trails,a nice stop for lunch, and back to the cabin by dark. |

The Fuell S1... Notice the front brake rotor..!? Looks a bit too much like a scooter than a motorcycle. Mike |
