This is the new dash that replaced the 2014 dash that also went to shit. While leading my class and after running ALL day long with no issues the engine started cutting out after lap 2. Then it got progressively worse to the point I had to shut it off. After the race it started right up and sounded great. We checked the ground wires and saw that the one by the ecu and fuse box under the tail was loose. Could that be it? When you restart it there is not historical fault codes and no warning and it fires right up. Any help would be great as to what to look for. I have tomorrow's races I can still make. Thanks, email is rcrameremu@gmail.com |

Poor or intermittent grounding can cause all sorts of strange problems, so what you describe could easily be attributed to loose grounds, especially when you factor in vibration and shifting angles that happens under riding conditions. Look at it this way: you have to fix the grounds anyway before you can tell if there really is any other issue going on! I know you don't want to loose more track/race time, so I would use the downtime to also check any other nuts and bolts I could get my hands on! |
