Im really wanting a sport touring bike. But I have never owned a full fairing bike. I started on a blast, straight to the xb12scg, now I have the 1125cr. I have only owned Buell street bikes. I love the vtwin. I had a friends 2015 Ninja 650r for a few months and put some miles on that and liked it. I have fond memories of my first ride on a 2008(?) SV650. I really do not like the Electra Glide I've had for a few months. I have a bobber that has been fun and I have done quite a few 140 mile days comfortably. I can't find an RX to sit on. the SX felt more comfortable than the 1125CR with high bars and lowered pegs, but that is just sitting in the showroom. I would like to think that I will do long rides on it but most of my long days are closer to 150 miles. I have found a 2015 1190RX with 15k miles for 5500, 2015 1190SX for 8500 in crate, and the odd ball 2008 Triumph Sprint 1050 ST for 3900 with 10,000 miles. I am also considering buying a new 2017 from aps but that will have to happen today if I am going to do that. and no matter what the wife will not be happy. |

Buy the one that blows your skirt up. If you get anything other than the one that speaks to you, you'll regret it pretty quickly. Price is irrelevant. You'll forget about how much it cost pretty quickly; you'll remember how much it made you grin like a drugged out Cheshire Cat for years. Good luck, and let us know which one you went for. |

Ride a Suzuki Vstrom DL1000a. I rode 5 different adventure bikes last year and the Vstrom sold me. Handles as well as a sport bike, had great torque, nice riding position, very light, just an overall great bike. |

Haha court, excellent advice! I think I talked myself out of the new bike. I think I'll just buy a 2010 rear wheel, give hard bags, and weld up the bracket like on Loretta. |
