I have a Garmin Zumo 660 and am looking for suggestions on where to install a RAM mount on my 1190SX. I had it previously mounted on my XB12SS at the handlebar. I'm wondering if anyone has done this yet. Option 1) In-line with mirror post http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-360U Option 2) In-line with brake/clutch reservoir (assuming bolt spacing is within spec) http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-309-1U Option 3) U-bolt mount with double-socket swivel arm http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-231ZU & http://www.rammount.com/part/RAP-B-200-2U Let me know your thoughts, as I'm open to suggestions. |

Awesome idea. I'm worried the GPS will obstruct my view of the dash. Is that a RAM mount? |

Looks like this is the Ram equivalent. http://www.rammount.com/part/RAP-B-400U} |

U bolts work fine on the SX handlebar. |

That is a LifeProof mount. The ball is smaller than Ram. It does bounce a little because the stabilizer moves. Best Buy has the Iphone motorcycle mount on sale for $10 and I have the quick mount adapter stuck on my phone case.

If you run aftermarket mirrors, RAM makes a 1" ball with a M10x1.25 threaded post that fits directly where the stock mirror used to go. Very clean mount. |

the mirror post adapter idea is a good one. Trying to determine what will be aesthetically pleasing, and functionally stable. I may see about a top clamp bolt replacement ball like I have on my XB12. |
