My 1190 rx already came with the spools. I emailed pit bull about the stands but they have not emailed me back. Do you guys recommend one stand over another or are they all pretty much the same. I was looking at this one http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pit-bull-spoole d-rear-stand |

It depends on your budget. I have a $100ish set I use for my RX that includes the steering stem stand for the front. As long as the stands stay inside and will not be subject to extensive track use then the cheaper ones are the way to go.. |

I bought the Pitbull. No cheap stands for this guy. I bought the Buell specific stand and replaced the OEM spools as they are so close to the swing arm. I bought the spools from Pit Bull themselves. It spaces the hooks a bit farther out so the swingarm doesn't get scratched. |

I have a crappy rear stand I got thru the Harley shop when I had my Firebolt. It now has lawnmower wheels to get higher but works great. I needed a front stand and Al at American Sportbike got me a Pitbull... Awesome stand, I love it. Money well spent. |

Pitbull's stand is very nice - very high quality. Woodcraft also has a stand that will work, but you need to bend the "ears" on the stand out so that they don't rub the swing arm when you put it up on the stand. |

Pitbull has 2 rear stands. You need the wide version. You won't need to buy another stand in this lifetime. |

To add to this thread and to any of you guys that have the 1125 specific Pitbull stand and don't want to buy another for the 1190, you can modify it quite easily. I purchased the Pitbull "Spooled Plates, Forward Handle Rear Stand" accessory part F0043-001, and some 5/16" hardware from my local hardware store and bolted them up and it works great. You will have to spread the stand a little to match up with the spools on the bike and drill and tap a hole on the inside of both sides of the stand below where the main mounts are to keep the plates lined up and from swinging. I don't have all the specs of what I used at the moment but can get it if any one asks. Be careful when you first try to use it though. I didn’t have the stand spread quite far enough and put a small gouge in my swing arm. |

I can also confirm that the supplied spools are too narrow for use with the Pit Bull stand without extreme care. Even taking it slow I still managed to get a light scratch on the swingarm because I'm mostly focused on balancing the bike as I rotate the stand. I've ordered a set of these and will report back once I've tried them: http://www.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/prodView.as p?idproduct=74118 And if anyone from EBR is reading, come on guys, please fit wider spools. We don't want to scratch our shiny new pride and joys |

If you put some rubber hose or heat shrink over the ends of the spool lifts it will prevent scratches. Anytime you are putting bare metal close to paint or powder coat, you are asking for trouble.

Tough to think about spending that much on the pit bull stands, but it's also nice to know you're never going to have to buy another stand in your lifetime. Definitely worth the money. Also... stands with removable/reversible handles are a huge bonus when it comes to moving around the bike and not tripping. |

I really like the small details, like the wall stands to keep them up and out of the way. Same material, same finish, same quality. They also have other accessories like the tire tree, which is nice if you like to change wheels and don't want them taking up space. (Message edited by qurtrn10 on July 06, 2016) |

Said I'd report back once I'd tried the R&G spools. They work perfectly with the Pit Bull stand. No more worries about scratching that swingarm. |

I haven't needed to use my stands since I installed some Vortex spools.
