I already had the shorty brake lever from ebay, so I went with the shorty lever on the clutch side also. It took some getting used to but on the other hand I'm still getting used to the whole bike. Pulling with 2 fingers isn't as bad as one would seem to think and actually easier for me to keep two fingers rested on the clutch lever. If the lever was 1/2" longer or if the perch could be slid over it would be perfect. Now if you have fat fingers then a shorty would be a problem. Need to find some new gloves. My favorite Shift gloves aren't made anymore and it's hard to find a replacement that fit like those.

You can slide the brake or clutch mechanism over (in or out). Just figure out where you want them, remove the bracket from the bar, drill a new locating hole, reattach. OR...remove the "pin" from the bracket and move the mechanism easily where you want it. This way you can rotate it if you like easier also. Or like I normally do...leave the bracket a "little" loose, so that if a crash happens, there's another avenue out for the levers not to break. It works, ask my old FZR1000. Still tight enough not to move under hand pressure, but under..."hitting the ground pressure"...it does. I moved both my clutch and brake "in", along with moving the grips in. Mike |

1_Mike thanks for the tip. I'll have to look more into it to when I get home from work today. |

So I was able to move the perch without any modifications. I can now get 3 fingers in the relaxed position and 2 when fully pulled. |

Terry - what levers did you end up using? I would like to switch mine out to those shorties. Did you have any issues in installing them? Thanks |

BRC511-SK and CRC511-SK. No issues at all. Be sure to choose the correct brake switch tab to screw on the brake lever. I used the Kaw ZX636 piece. The BRF311 and CRF311 fit also but are the cheaper ones with a 3 year warranty and have a shiny finish. (Message edited by terrys1980 on November 01, 2015) |
