Hello, I have been a lurker on here for a while, I have a 1190sx with almost 1000 miles on it, so far I love the bike, but just this past weekend it started to randomly shut down on me. I have traced to problem to a bad ground connection for the ignition, and key relays. So far I have found the grounding points on the rear of the frame, as well as the one up front on the head tube area. However, Neither of these are used to ground the relays. Does anyone know of any other grounding locations on these bikes? |

There is also a ground on the front cylinder head area...I think it's on the left side. |

Thanks for the help, the ground point on the left side of the front cylinder head was indeed the ground for the relays, and also the voltage regulator. The ground point was fine, but about 12 inches back in the harness there was a bad splice. When I cut off the heat shrink all of the wires came apart. I soldered it up and it seems good to go now. |
