I doubt anyone has ran their 1190rx at the drag strip yet, but anyone have estimates on times? I plan on doing a wild wednesday test and tune after I get back from Deal's Gap in a couple weeks. Just curious as to what people's thoughts are on times. I know motorcycle times are extremely dependent on the rider! |

traction control off and hard launches by better riders than me on my bike have resulted in some spectacular wheelies but controlling the monos has resulted in slower than optimal time slips. My personal best unofficial time in the 1/4 so far is 10.63 @ 144mph. I'm certain a better rider could easily get down into the low 10's a pro maybe mid 9's. Be careful, like I said, TC off hard on the gas equals wheelies in 1-3 with 4 just barely floating. |

Drag racing a powerful street bike with no bars takes an awesome skill set completely unique to extremely experienced street racers. (Or a former street racer turned pro racer) Rent a track for a weekend, talk Rickey Gadson into coming to play, and find out just how quick an 1190 RX really is. |

Well, let me preface this by stating, this was my first time ever drag racing a motorcycle. I've done a bunch of cars, but never a bike. Therefore, I am by no means an expert. 1st Run - TC set at 3 - 11.51 2nd Run - TC set at 2 - 11.20 3rd Run - TC set at 1 - 10.80 (no wheelie, felt a little wheelspin) 4th Run - TC set at 0 - 10.91 (slight wheelie 1-2) 5th Run - TC set at 0 - 11.21 (Huge wheelie 1st through 2) I'm confident this bike, with a decent rider, could really put down some good times. By 60' were pretty terrible. |

I'd love to see that! Like I said, with a talented (read: not me) rider it would be ridiculous fast for a stock bike. |

Ok I re-read that page. Corey did upper 9's on an 1125 with the 1190 kit, ecm, and pipe. |

I would think high 9s, low 10s with a good rider, esp. with a pipe and tune. |

We had a guy here (littlebutquick) doing mid 9s on an 1125 that, other than a pipe and tune, was stock. I would imagine the 1190 would be a bit faster, given its ~40 HP advantage. |
