I heard the from a guy that knows a guy whose cousin has a friend that knows a guy who heard it directly from his Mother's third ex husband who happens to work with a guy who has access to the interwebs, that the bikes were secretly tested by driving them all to the dealers and back but they were so fast, they made the trip so quick they got back before they left. Honest That would support a late Feb delivery to just about anyone in the country. Great if its true. (Message edited by Classax on February 05, 2014) |

I suspect . . . . that if the actual testing and development protocols, for both the bike and the dealer service system, were known that folks would be equally disbelieving. It's a whooooooooole new world. |

I also heard from the same source that: Chuck Noris has officially announced he has never feared anything but if he did, it would be the 1190RX. That no more than 7 1190RX are allowed to simultaneously start their engines for of fear disrupting world seismic instrumentation with sweet v twin rumble. and That no more than 6 EBR 1190RX are permitted to do simultaneous full power standing starts traveling the same direction because the collective 612lbs/ft of torque could potentially disrupt the earth's rotational axis. I have my doubts though, I mean really!?! The Chuck Norris thing seems a way too far fetched. Seriously my dealer is still confident that EBR is confident about a late Feb ship end of Feb deliveries. I've heard that the RX's RWHP has been vastly underrated. True RWHP is 0.000000000000453 CNRHK. (Chuck Norris Round House Kicks) 1 CHRHK is apparently enough to break the earth free of its orbit. |

A drop of Chuck Norris sweat in the tank will triple the power output. Then if only 3 1190rx did an East facing power launch, Flaw'da would be twisted all the way to Texas. |

"the collective 612lbs/ft of " I got to say, this one wasnt as funny as the first thats really not a lot of torque when you start considering the diesels that are putting out a couple hundred more than that as for Feb 14 boy I cant wait to see some on the road! I wish I could afford to preorder one like my 1125R, but oh well. One day.... |

By the way, the correct units for torque is: ft-lb or lb-ft (your multiplying the two numbers not dividing them) ... way back in the 70's in my mechanical engineering classes they used ft-lbf to designate a lb of force and not a lb of mass. its not: ft/lb or lb/ft |

My engineering classes back in the 90's lb was always force, mass was slugs. I get your point though, I had a "lesson" a few weeks ago about torquing nuts to so many pounds, drove me crazy. |

Are you guys really going to be that anal about a joke in a thread powered by Chuck Norris sweat!?!? EBR please release a bike already so some of these folks can have something to do... My dealer says they're somewhat confident about being optimistic about the possibility that they might be getting bikes by the end of the month. |

I should have mine by the weekend. I am hoping this will be the case for me as well. Looks like they delivered mostly reds and only a very few blacks and yellows. The closer we get the harder it is to wait! I would have figured at least 1 person who took delivery last week would have said SOMETHING by now...Perhaps they've been rendered catatonic by the sheer power. |

My buddy picked up a red one in Miami at Unique SBK. They delivered a black one the same morning. The bike is amazing. I didn't ride it yet just because I wanted him to enjoy it well and get it broke in before I flogged it. It looks so good going down the road. The slipper clutch has the same really cool whine that the racebikes have. The clutch pull is a bit stiffer. Fit and finish is wonderful. The prototypes had a bit of lite metalflake and were painted over the plastic. The production looks like syrleyn (sp?) but a bit thinner and lighter then the older buells. He has a 1125r and he said it handles much better without any setup or even setting the sag. He rode 2 up and said he can't notice his wife on the back as much. It seems much more stable and flickable. He isn't trying to kill it in the first few miles but said he did notice the TC kicking in with new tires set on 10. His 1125 has a FMF slipon and this is of course much quieter but has a nice growl. His wife said it feels much faster. |

In sc, you got to get to alteast 3rd base with said bike for it to be binding. As for shower head injectors, from a generic fuel manegment, it is the best way to got. 1 injector setup requires a compromise in low rpm and high rpm use. A large enough flow rate not to starve at high rpm but that requires a very low puslewith a low rpm that does not promote ideal atomization of fuel. 2 injector setup, smaller flow for low rpm and a secondary for "dump it" when lotso fuel needed |

I'm a little disappointed. The local dealer has no clue when they'll get ANY 1190's in, they have nothing at all on their website indicating they're even a dealer. Next closest one is 250 miles away and they won't get one until "sometime in March but we don't know when" and they want a deposit to even order one. Neither one knows anything about available financing, so I guess I'm on my own there as well. One other dealer in Chicago might have one, but again, it's at least a 250+ mile drive one way. Honestly, I'd almost rather just go to the factory and pick the damn thing up there instead of letting someone monkey with it at the dealerships. It might be different if I was actually there to uncrate it and KNOW that nobody messed with it. I envy the guys that have that option because they work at EBR dealerships. |

I did handle my own financing. my bank gave me a killer rate(1.99 %). I did put down a deposit back in oct. I also drove about 250 miles......but worth every bit of it. Fit and finish looks awesome. Gotta watch removing rear seat. Can be prone to scratching plastic above key cyl. I think I will make a small thin metal trim piece to protect that. Brakes. Feel good. I dont ride brakes hard so my input may not be helpful for track days. Chain is quiet other than decel. This is my first chain bike. Led headlights very sharp. First dark ride is tomorrow morning. I had to tighten throttle a tad to my prefrence. Havent changed traction control from 15 yet. When crossing rapid bumps, tc can kick on at times. Kinda cool. Havent gone but half throttle yet but feels great. Cluster is awesome and easy to read when riding. Navigation through data is very easy. Did have a glitch with a fault code for fuel pressure sensor. Removed connectors and ecm and sensor, found nothing wrong, reinstalled and trouble free since. Will update again sat after I drive all week |
