with a fair amount of load placed on the threaded portion of the bolt. and not a flat washer or lock washer in sight. hey, at least they're using Nylock nuts, right? (Message edited by jerry_haughton on February 13, 2005) |

not impressive, considering that three of the four bolts weren't long enough to reach the nylon. in fact, this bolt is barely long enough to reach any threads at all. um, YOU go first? (Message edited by jerry_haughton on February 13, 2005) |

this is from the south end of Engineer's Point, looking straight out the point. the Main Dam is on our left, the Auxiliary Dam is on our right. we're now 14.8 miles from the 'Dome (the LONG way), and the weird shadows are from... (Message edited by jerry_haughton on February 13, 2005) |

passed this hill on the way out the point, sniffed it, got skeered, and carried on. on the way back i sniffed it again, got skeered again, but took a run at it anyway. about 3/4 the way up i was too skeered to go any further, and came to a precarious stop. a veritable pickle, it was. only one thing to do. get pix for insurance purposes.
