Savanna is a gorgeous area -- first was introduced, lo, these mnay years ago, while in the Boy Scouts -- the feds let us camp on their grounds -- wound up pitching our tents about 20 meikes from the river (unbeknownst to or good selves), and had to air out the sleeping bags after a tow let loose with his horn at 2 Ay Em ;-} give us all a heads up when you get home, bud -- we'll meet up and bore some holes through the local insect life, yes? |

I will definately do that. What would look better than one buell terrorizing the area? I guess as many as we could get together. |

It's been a long while since I posted much of anything here, been very busy with work and grad school and all of those other things that make time very short. I found this little gem about 3 weeks ago, signed an offer on it this morning. A bit of work with the bank, a few inspections and I'll have myself a little house, a big barn and another great view. I give you, the Farmhouse. Built in 1900, 1400 sq ft, 1 acre lot, 36'x50' barn, 16'x32' shop and a 16'x28' steel building. Finally, my own little peace on earth.

Alex, Dig the barn, I really dig the barn. Ferris, maybe we should head west after Detroit? "Take me down to Alex's farm." |

Dino, I haven't closed on it yet, need to finish up getting financing squared away and get all of the inspections done. I'm hoping to close by the middle of September, but that might not happen since I'll be out of town half the month. Jerry, If I close before you guys hit town, we'll definitely have a party there. If not, we can swing a bit South to the Bantz Ranch and chill there. I'll try like hell to make it at my place though. Sound like a plan? I've been looking for a while, so glad that this one fell into my hands! |

Hey Alex, just recieved your email, very nice pics here as well! The wooden shed reminds me of the wagon shed out at Dennis Epley's, hopefully the doors don't fall off like his did... Wish I could make it out there too, glad we will be hanging out next weekend. We have not ridden bikes together for a few years now, I will have to make the trip out next year to see your place. Hell maybe I can help you strip the paint off that barn for a fresh coat (remember the house we did at Jason's with the overly extended ladder haha) Cessna |

It is on the Iowa side, 4-5 miles south of the bridge off of US-61. I can officially join the corn mafia! |

Dave, Sorry for the long delay, and you certainly can! Took possession this afternoon, love the place already. It's quiet and has a lot of character. More pictures to follow. We'll have a gathering this spring with some great roads and a party afterwards at the new pad! Jerry, I even spilled a little beer on the floor for you. Then the cops showed up and thought I was trespassing... Can't avoid them! |

So winter has descended on the Midwest. I think the old homestead looks good with the white.
I'm almost half way done with grad school, the source of my non-existence on Badweb these days. I do still get on and read up every once in a while. Keep your eyes peeled for a warm weather house warming party- I've got plenty of room for bikes and plenty of room to crash. Hope all is well with everyone in badweb land! Prior |

It does indeed look good in white, Alex. I'm sure FB would get on and second that if'n he weren't currently pounding the pavement on his way east to Virginia in a big yellow truck. Congrats on the almost halfway thing, too. |

A little Prior update... It's been a long while since I've been on Badweb much other than the occasional reading. I started a new job at John Deere back in May, working with excavators and a joint venture with Hitachi that has me traveling to Vancouver every month or so, and upcoming trips to Japan every 3 to 6 months from here on out. I'm also getting going on my capstone classes for my two masters degrees, which takes up way the hell too much of my free time. I'll be done with all of that in August. My girlfriend, Heather, moved here in August and is working on her masters in guidance counseling at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. I've been the subject of many a personality, temperament test etc, and it turns out I am an oddball. Who knew. Things are going well though. I got a really cool Thanksgiving gift from a friend's mom yesterday. She used to run a sportbike parts shop in Michigan and gave me a bunch of posters signed by Pridmore, Rich Oliver, Steve Crevier, Kevin Schwantz, Josh Hayes, Jimmy Moore, Ricky Charmichael, Eric Bostrom and the best, Nicky Hayden. Lots of really cool stuff to hang in the den. Heather has been pretty tolerant of the street signs, Guinness mirrors and Buell pics, not sure what she'll think of all of these. I'll try to get a few pics up sometime soon. Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving, god bless. Prior |
