Technically not my "Home Town", Seal Beach is about a fifteen minute ride from where I grew up, and now live. I did however spend much of my "formative" time here while growing up. It's where I learned to surf, where I did a lot of fishing as a teenager, where my friends and I used to hang out often. I still go there from time to time. To sit on the jetty, gaze out at the open ocean and collect my thoughts. Kind of re-center myself. These are a couple shots I took the other day when I went there. Not on my Buell, on it's distant, elder cousin, that I always enjoy. Just realized, I need to go back. For more shots of course. Timbo |

Great pictures...I spent a couple years going to Point Loma performing the same ritual. Keep'em coming..... |

As promised (to myself mostly), spent some more time at the Jetty. However, this river jetty is the border that divides Seal Beach from Long Beach, and I got the chance to shoot some pics last week and today. So I think I'll start a Long Beach version (my true home town). |

Looks like you're getting some beautiful weather in between the downpours! |

Yep Dino, Actually I really like it just after a heavy downpour. Now if I just didn't have to work so many darned hours....Sheesh! |

Main Street Seal Beach is really nice. I remember when the Irisher and Clancy's were the only bars on Main Street! |

Ah...the memories. Ray bay, down by the old steam plant (long gone). Yes, surfing down by the jetty. A hamburger at Guy's across from the pier. And if I remember right, some of Born Losers (remember that great biker flick?) was filmed in Irishers, along with the fight scene in Guy's parking lot. It's been too long since I've been in Seal Beach...maybe next year. |
