Ok, this is long overdue. How long??? Well, this is my account of the 2010 Pegasus Buell Experience and the 2011 event is two weeks away. It’s been a long year and this was by far the best days of it. First, I have to say, “Thank you” to everyone from the Pegasus Race Team. They made us feel welcome in Germany more than one could ever hope for. I’ve never met a nicer group of guys and gals in my life. If anyone ever has the opportunity to go to this event, GO!!! You won’t regret it. I won’t make this year’s, but I’m already trying to figure out how to make it to the 2012 event. Ok, let’s talk about some of these pics…. provided I figured out how to use Photobucket. So here is one of the two 1190RR’s ever built. Sweet bike. The second pic is pre-race prep being done. If you want to know more about that story and what happened, go to http://www.pegasusraceteam.com/html/pbe_review.htm l. Harald won the race, but they tell the story better than I ever could. Was really cool to witness though. If there was ever a time to stand back and watch a race team work as team, that was it. So a little more about Harald Kitsch and that 1190RR. I managed to snap this series of pictures during the race. Going off the time stamps, this string of 9 pictures took 10 seconds to happen. The competition was somewhere a few turns back…. seriously. It’s really cool to see so many Buell riders in one spot. Even cooler to see such a range of Buell’s on the track at the same time. The first couple days were practice with some rider instruction. Watching these guys ride gave me something to strive for. I did get out on the track for a little and honestly, I have work to do…. a lot of work. A few of these are also from the Buell Only Race. Cool to see. Oh, that 4th picture down, is Robin Taborsky. Damn he’s fast. He can really wind out that XB. Our favorite Buell reporter is pictured below as well. Wes, you can point yourself out if you want. I promised I'd get your picture up on here, finally happened. The Show ‘n’ Shine was something to see. These are some beautiful bikes. There were so many other incredible Buell’s that weren’t even in the Show ‘n’ Shine that should have been. Some were parked in the bay where the riders were staged and some weren’t even inside the paddock. You can see Carbonrider’s 1125R lined up outside the fence in a couple of my pics. I have to stop for a second and say a special, “Thank You” to Frank Butte for his “Remember Pearl Harbor” tribute bike. As a veteran, seeing this was something else and meant a lot to me. The Crazy Cab….. Do I? Would I? I just got passed by what????? On a serious note, I really like the passenger handles on the air box cover. Man that was a great time. We met a lot of wonderful people that weekend. We even got to shoot the breeze with Erik. So Jens, Thomas, Robin, Birgit, Harald and everyone one else that made it an awesome experience, Vielen Dank. That is incredible ! Frank's bike is awesome . . Frank is a legend in the world of Buell. The handles, you are correct Sir, on the airbox cover are great. Thanks so much for sharing. Between the Italians, the Germans and the Japanese . . there are some incredible Buells on there. Court |

...too bad that you can't make it this year Alan! We'll keep you updated with pics and vids from the event! Here a taxi-pic from last year - going 1:35 in Oschersleben with a passenger in the back and surrounded by a lot of slower bikes is quite fast! http://www.xborgforum.de/attachment.php?attachment id=8717&d=1313527633 Regards, Thomas |

Thanks for the compliment Ensign. Thomas, everything about that bike is over the top. Absolutely incredible. Admittedly, I'm a little sad at the moment that the weekend starts tomorrow and I won't be there. Have fun. |

amazing bikes.. and those guys can RIDE! Damn, I wanna go over there and do a trackday and ride with em. I wonder what it'd cost to have my bike in the seat next to me? I'd probably have to drain the fluids since it's a long flight and there's always a line for the bathroom, the last thing they'd need is a motorcycle needing a fluid drain when that's what everyone else is trying to do. |
