Hahahaha . . . it's turned into a bit of a joke. Some of the places in the Fashion District and around the school I teach at have a large number of attractive gals and models. I posted a photo of a model in a photo shoot once and it kind of evolved into a joke. Anymore I don't post many but last week I likely wandered upon photo shoots for catalogs and so forth. Great city for gorgeous women and fashion. But you're right . . the novelty has worn off it . . I likely shot 80 or 90 last week and haven't posted any. I'm raising my standards to conform to the Badweb moral code.

Hahaha . . . besides I did my "Hot Moto Chicks in Aerostiches" in about 1996 . . there were some dandies! I still have one of Karol Patzer on my desk from the day she and I rode the Komen event from Southfork Ranch to Dallas' West End. Cool stuff ! |

Okay . . . just so you'll know I am back to work . . . and . . I have, lest I be accused. . left out the photos of the blonde driver of the Ferrari. The wreck was cool . . . I saw it coming. Idiots. Note the smoke in the cabin as the air bag deployed. . . . no one was hurt. Gorgeous construction weather in NYC and gorgeous fall colors!

Outstanding Court... The best picture is one that tells a story, or even better, gets you to make your own story. |

Damn, you guys take some fantastic photographs! Keep up the good work, it might even encourage me to come over and visit sometime. My youngest is working on me to take her to NYC when she graduates from college in 2012. She knows that I'm not real big on crowds, traffic, etc. |

I'm a couple hundred photos behind . . but I'll spare you. Suffice to say . . . with friends from Holland in town . . . it's been a WILD last week of sightseeing in a very festive New York City. I took this about 10 minutes ago balancing the camera on the washing machine and shooting out the window. I like the way the sleepy streets of the neighborhood are quietly in the foreground with the city in the background. This was a bit of an accident . . driving home from dinner I shot out the window and forget I had the camera on 1/40th of a second. Still kind of interesting. Merry Christmas to all . . . Court |

Running low on time . . had to walk to a meeting today . . . no way to get the truck out . . . so I walked to the bus . . bus to the ferry . . . went to get on the subway and whooooooa. . . .entire street blocked off . . . NYPD, FDNY the entire neighborhood shut down. I look up and see 6 guys leaning over the ledge of the building and figure we have a jumper . . . it's the time a year when folks don't get bonuses and it's tough . . .so I start snapping. I walk around, past the Currency Museum, in front of the Museum of the American Indian and lo and behold . . .we have a substantial piece of metal building stuck in the ground like a giant arrow. If . . . and I'm convinced whoever you think your higher power is that they have a way of working these things out in our favor . . there had been NO SNOW . . . the area, the heavily populated area, in front of the Bowling Green Subway Station (4/5/6 trains) would have been jammed. Be mindful we AVERAGE 475,000 tourists arriving DAILY. During the holidays that goes over 500,000 PER DAY. . . it's been a mess. For those of you who are familiar with NYC . . it's the big subway station in the same park as the huge bull you sat on and then ran around in back of him and took that risqué' photo with. Anyway . . the rest of it . . . well . . it was simply a walk to the office and to drop off a Buell book to a very interesting guy who many of you have seen on TV. Fun town . . fun stuff. Enjoy. P.S. - several notes: 1) I apologize . . the upload put the photos in kind of random order. For the thingie falling off the building . . use your imaginational and put them in order. 2) I think there is a test given to aspiring NYPD candidates. The test needs to be improved. Note the sparks flying from the "Van-O-Cops". Now notice that they have the front in stuffed into a snow drift . . note also that there is 25' clear behind them. I am left to surmise that either this van had no reverse or we need a more comprehensive practical knowledge test. I, being from Kansas, was tempted to offer to drive it out . . but I got weary after watching for 7 minutes and walked off. 3) The fellow, Mr. Don Witter, Jr. is am amazing guitar player. These folks compete intensely to get the "Music Under the Streets" permits to play in Subway and Ferry terminals . . some are so-so . . . but many are Julliard graduates or at least play at that level. I listened to him for 10 minutes waiting on the boat and he was great. Look him up and drop him a note. (Message edited by court on December 28, 2010) |

Another fun . . . and interesting day. I knew some of you wouldn't be making it to Times Square and I was thrust there against my will to collect my wife tonight . . . (can you say "65 minutes to go 6 blocks?) so I snapped you a few pics . . tossed in a couple from the day as well. . . . Wish I knew how to "create a thread" in this topic . . . ENJOY !

Drats . . you should have called me when you were passing . . . I'd have taken your photo taking photos on the ship . . . here's a view from the kitchen window this morning. And a little cross posting to get the NYC photos in here . . . >>>>To see the piles of garbage and thank God they don't live in a city ruled by public unions? Well . . . they are getting their overtime now. They finally picked up ours tonight . . . neighbors had about 60 black bags at the curb. Oh . . and by the way . . . I'm calling this my "party photo of the day" . . .who knows what can happen in a snow drift. And . . uh . . . while I'm giving awards . . . my "Economy in the Use of Space" goes to this fine Oriental gentleman . . . I saw him rolling the cart with all the sheets of plywood, siding and about 60 2" x 4"s out and was looking for his truck. When I came out . . . well, he damn near had it loaded. But . . . I'm sitting here writing this . . . looking at the Empire State Building which is lit up in green tonight and all things considered . . . well it's NEW YORK CITY . . not an altogether bad place to hang. A couple shots from the drive home.
