I will hopefully be there, God and the wife willing, am looking forward to seeing all of you guys, anybody from southern AZ or NM going and wants to ride with me? I plan on leaving two-three days before and returning same timeframe after. I have made it to Colorado Springs in two days from Tucson in the past, not a bad ride, several years ago at the double nickle, should do better now. If interested in a "convoy" e-mail me a art@azstarnet.com |

Is this truly the date? If so, we need to start promoting. REX |

I be a newbie, both to the BWBBS, and to the Buell clan. But would be glad to help out. Mt Evans is a fantastic place to ride. Between the scenery and dodging the wildlife it's always an adventure. It's also one ride that you can go through all four seasons in the space of 15 miles. It's even better shared with a group of friends. |

Court, should be back after a month long camping trip (ARMY rotation)in the dust land of NTC Ft. Irwin CA. Will have to bug out for Ft. Rucker AL soon after that so it would be a great time for the Meanlady and I to spend time together. Count me in..................Bobby |

Just now found this on the ATC site: Cut and pasted from The ATC site ======================= CO Rally - Jay 1/24 Team Elves and ATC are going to put on a Rally of the West, July 11-15th. Located in central Colorado, we are planning 5 day of riding, friendship and Buells. The RKYMTHI ATC rally will be included in this event with a 3 day trip to Silverton. We are working on a name for it but for now, set a date aside. More info will follow in the next few days and will be posted on the What's New page. ----- Hey the Date Changed - Arvel L. Williams, P.E. 1/24 Jay, Nice to see that ATC and TeamElves are working together on this, however, the date posted on BadWeb by a representative of TeamElves wasn't in July, it was in June. Is this date firm and set in stone so I can reschedule my vacation? Arvel ----- CO Rally - Jay 1/24 Here's what happened. The talk of a CO rally started on BadWeb and a date was picked. I contacted Court about the fact that our ATC CO rep, Phil Poindexter, put on a CO rally every year called RKYMTNHI. Our date was July 13-15th. We talked of how to combine them but nothing fit. This week, Court called and really wanted to do a joint effort both for making a better event for Bueller and both of us felt two rallys, two weeks apart, would hurt both events. Both Court and I felt that the work that Phil did last year and this should be the lead for a combined event. So we decided that we would work together on a 5 day event in CO that incorporated the RKYMTNHI. So the short answer is yes, the date is set now for July 11-15. You can make your plans accordenly. =========================== Thanks Arvel for the heads-up. |

That July 11 date is a couple of days after the big race and BRAG event on July 6-8 at Laguna Seca. People could leave from Monterey and drive straight to Colorado for another big event. Hmmmm, sounds interesting. Jim X-2.5 |

When is that west coast multi-state ride planned? Is there an active thread on SACBORG re: the west coast plans? I feel a road trip coming up. Could be good. |

Arvel: My apolgies..... Twinxt Elves, Mountain Rides, Buell Research and trying to build a bike for this upcoming season....oh yeah and WORK......I've been remiss in keeping things up to date. The dates and scheme conveyed by Jay are spot on and this looks like it's gonna be a "must do" event. Kim, Cheryl & Phil will be spear-heading this deal and, from what I have already heard, this is gonna raise the bar. I'd bet Kim would love any help he can get. Let me know if you need contact info. Thanks to you guys for keeping facts coming ! Court |

If someone makes a flyer in electronic format, I'll print them, make copies and post them at Pikes Peak HD/Buell in Colorado Springs. |

Are more details on the happenings of this published somewhere? I know there's some happenings in Breckenridge, and that there is something about a 3 day Silverton trip. Is the Silverton thing a 1 day trip to get there, 1 day of "events" in Silverton, and 1 day trip back to Breckenridge? Steveh and I are planning on coming up from San Diego. Likely one day to Utah 2nd day to Colorado. anyone else from Socal or anywhere that wanted to connect along the way, just let me know. I'm looking forward to spending some time in the mountains of South Utah both on the way there and coming back. |
