As some of you old time BadWeber(s) may recall, I made this roadside marker a few years ago for a fellow Bueller that was killed in a motorcycle accident. This happened at the Arizona Torque Fest. Just for kicks I wanted to see if Google Earth was able to find it (the memorial). Guess what ... yes, amazing. If you click on the Daryl Levesque link it will take you there. Once there, YOU MUST let Google Earth completely load the file! Next it will automatically zoom into the area. Then move your mouse to the upper right hand corner of the screen and a small navigating window will pop up. Move the white square box in the navigation window all the way to the LEFT and soon you will see the memorial. Pretty cool.
Let me know if this works for you as well. -SD: |

Well I tested it and it works, at least for me. The only thing is the BBS software creates a .ZIP file that you will need to unzip first, then click on that file. It will do everything else after that. Cheers, -SD: |

I'm with you Jim, it is very cool. I am still honored to be a part of, and have fond memories of the group of us that gathered there at the first Springfast. |

Dunno, guess the technology simply impresses me. <grin> On another note ... to think someone out there is driving around with a camera on top of there car ... and in an area like this. I wouldn't mind having that job. -SD: |

We stopped at Daryl's memorial in May during this years Springfast event. The memorial is holding up well, and still has the documents Ferris left there during the first SpringFast event. There are still a few parts to his bike laying on one of the guardrail supports. I make it a point, in the spring and fall to organize a ride through the area, and stop to pay my respect. SmokeDaddy, you did a great job with that memorial. |

Thanks Bart, Man digging the hole for the concrete was a bitch as it was extremely rocky, therefore preventing me from going very deep. Glad to see it is holding up to the weather and that everything is still in place. Regards, -SD: |
