HPR opens this year with much relief. The local fuzz is really coming down hard on guys they catch knee dragging through the canyons. MRA kicks off with a lapping day followed by 2 days of race school. Doug Polen showed! How cool is that? 8 guys & 1 guyette from our Buell club attended. The MRA guys were pretty cool about trying to keep the twins (Aprillias, Buells, Ducs, etc.) together in riding groups. So here's how it went. Showed up @ 7 to 36 deg.,20-30 mph sustained wind, patchy snow on the ground, rain in the forecast. The low cloud ceiling really kept the heat out.
The outdoor classroom from the sky.
The class.L-R Mike 1125R,Brian XB12R,Roger S-1,Prof. of Speed Applehauns Gixxer,Julie's 12S, Julieless.
It only took a couple laps on the course to go numb & come in and supplement our leathers w/ parkas.Brian & Roger re-gearing up. CR
Going out for more tutelage.
Proffessor Applehauns going slow showing the line.

Thanks, Brian, for the pictures. Dan got a few pictures but he couldn't handle the wind and cold. |
