Well, I bought a new scale because the other one was suspiciously vague. The new one keeps track of my BMI and some other things, so it's more useful anyway. So I weighed myself when I got the scale, and will use that as m new initial weight. I'm going to keep track of my BMI as well.
That's just running every other day and keeping my calories under 1850 or so. This week I'll start lifting on the non-running days, and perhaps riding my bicycle on the lifting days.
Wee fn haw, I avoided the superbowl bacon sausage bacon cheese log and beer... and lost narey a pound doing it. 282 tho I do feel better when I attempt to run
This past week was not pretty...partying. Up 1 lb. for a net thus far of -1. Whoopdee f'ing doo!
No excuses, really. Just poor discipline. Sometimes I am my own worst enemy.
Does it count as schizophrenia if one part of you wants more super bowl junk food and the other is begging for mercy, and they fight to the death...all inside your head?
Ok, I just looked at this new-fangled scale again this morning, and apparently what I thought was BMI is actually body fat %. So my body fat % is 25.9, and my BMI is 28.1. I'm not sure which one is more important, but the scale only saves body fat %, so I guess I'll track that instead. And the Army only cares about height/weight and body fat percentage, so for me BMI is not as important.
212 this morning, but that's not an official posting. I'll wait until Sunday for that. I like this thread - making it public that I'm trying to lose weight puts some pressure on, you know? I've been telling all of my colleagues too, trying to make sure as many people as possible know, so that I will have the pressure to perform. You guys rock! <---low-calorie beer!
I need to step it up.... get back on the horse... kick myself in the ass...
With the way thing have been going, I don't know how much racing I will be able to do this year. Dropping pounds so I can go faster was a big motivator. Need to find another reason to get my butt back in gear.
Just found another reason to get my butt in gear.....
I just signed up to instruct 11 track days for Sportbike track time.... I don't know how many dates I'll get but its a good reason to get moving again.....
236 this morning. No progress since taking on new BP meds. This is annoying, ya gotta loose weight to get your BP in line, but the meds that work make you either retain fluids or just keep you eating.
I tried to join a weight loss clinic that my wife and son go to, and they use a metabolism booster pill. I have to loose weight so that my BP is lower so that I can join the weight loss clinic. Hmmmmmmm?!
Yippee, I broke out of the 280's but just barely 279lbs, I did manage to avoid the bacon wrapped sausage bacon cheese log that was going around... its day 40 w/o beer. I am pretty grumpy about that.
