Yeah, I'm still around. The weekend of OktoberFast was a bad one for me, so I couldn't make it. I'm sure we'll have a repeat of Four Play next year and I'm confident I won't have to cut out early to get married this year Vik |

Eeeeeeeek: Why didn't you plan ahead and arrange for the marriage ceremony to be performed at Mt. St. Helens during SPLASH? We coulda transported the `rents and other familia to the site on our Buells. Snail could have been in the bridal procession. On second thought.... cancel that |

Reindog, Yeah, what OFF said. I was there, at least part of the time, and don't have a clue about this Boston brouhaha. What'sup. BTW, I'll be doin' the Isabella/Western Divide/Hwy 190 loop tomorrow from Porterville with my Pillion Painter in tow. If any good photos/paintings/pastels result I'll post'em here. Guess if I'm gonna get anywhere near Lake Isabella I had better get it done while OFF is away playing...eh, Ebear? Dino

Does the incessant repetition of "More Than a Feeling" ringing inside your head that was induced in Monster Garage II ring a bell? God, I LOVE that album. |

Ebear. I must be slowing in my advancing years (no, I mean mentally). First I didn't pick up Ferris' Valendino on first reading...then I was wondering who the hell the Val you referred to was. Duh. The Pillion Painter finds Val infinitely preferable to Dino. We'll tip our helmets in your direction from the Divide tomorrow. BTW, that BattleTrax that Ferris was going to isn't down in your direction, is it? Maybe a name change ain't such a bad idea. Val |

No , Val its in Dublin which is east of the Bay Area.Would have liked to go since I'm from that area but had to work Sat.Maybe Ferris will come home with another Trophy for his Wall!Smoke here is so thick that everything has been orange and the smell has worked its way into house.Am headed out to cruise the Beach area and then over Ortega Hiway to Tom's Farm. Not quite the Mighty 190 but full of Motorcyclists enjoying the day.Hope you are....see ya!!P.S. Charlotte,I hope to see another one of those Outstanding paintings coming up!!! |

Here are some more photos for you OktoberFAST junkies. The SoCal fires are huge down here this morning. Even the NFL games are preempted on TV. A huge column of smoke just went over Carlsbad a few minutes ago. Ash is dropping in our backyard but the Reindog and Al_Lighton residences are a safe distance from the conflagration. What do these cows eat to make so much poop? This is a stop that we also made on last years All-Cali BRAG ride. Al digitally overpowers and disables the Boston CD with his Neuros Music Appliance using its FM transmitter. Neuros is cool but it needs Boston's first album in it, Al. Hey Viros should get Neuros cuz it rhymes. Not to fear! We have Analog Boston for OktoberFAST II. edited by reindog on October 26, 2003 |

It occurred to me that we were having too much fun riding at OktoberFast to spend much time taking pictures of the scenery along the way. So, for those of you who were along and would like another look. And for those like Fireman Jim, who not only couldn't be there, but are currently stuck inside while others of us are playing. Here's some pics from today's ride. Tule River Aqueduct Views from Hwy 190 Kern River Canyon Fall colors at Quaking Aspen Looking down the Tule River Riding the Western Divide Hwy |

"Val" over "Dino"? R U kidding??? well, just when y'all thought your computer screens were safe, the bitter little man returns, with another piece of BattleTrax hardware for my "I Love Me" wall in the garage. damn fine day in Dublin, California today, with a healthy turnout and a bunch of pesky young guns on fast sportbikes trying to kick my ass. well eat my shorts, punks, only ONE of you kicked this old ass, and only because you're too young to know fear and you were riding an XB that didn't have YOUR name on the title! it was a fine, fine weekend, and a million hugs and kisses to Denise for having fun, too (there's a 620 Monster at Modesto Buell/Ducati that has her name written all over it! ) ok, i'm way overdue for some shuteye. you dirty bastards (you know who you are) will have to wait for your next tongue-lashing ( "Oooh, Ferris!" ) until tomorrow. Dino, Great pics of the scenery! It is nice to let the rest of the world know that CA is not completely covered in cement. With the Santa Anas blowing an incidable amount of smoke and ash all the way to the ocean, the bike and I stayed in yesterday, wasting a great riding day, I might add! Boston. When that album came out, we played, and played it, and played it. What memories. I spent that summer in Starkville, Miss. with my favorite cousin. Starvkville was a dry town, I was 15 or so, cousin 14, but we managed to get a guy to drive out to the County line and score a few six packs. And we got drunk as skunks, playing that album over and over and over. And to this day that album ROCKS! |

Hey Scott....Was that STARKVILLE 'cause the Liquor scene was Stark or Skunkville cause.... well... you know! Denise , theres a guy here at my work just got a red 620 and it totally ROCKS!Go get it and lets do the Ben Bostrom Hiway!! Hey , and maybe you could wake up the OLD GUY.He's probably worn out after whipping those punks! |

Denise - Is it true? Is it gonna be the 620? Tell us more! Ferris - Congrats on the BattleTrax. Will there be action pix? Denise wasn't just standing around holding your sword and spear for you, was she? I'm meant to get more pix up on Western Divide...to entice Sparky. But, damn, I get riding and can't bring myself to stop! Sorta missed all those sounds of Buell flatulance ('xcuse me, exhaust) this trip. I did feel more secure in the corners, not having to worry about SOMEBODY's shock adsorber puking oil all over the macadam. |

Dino, Dunno, too many choices, but the 620 very high on the list. Problem is, Ferris will have to find some kinda duc too as his only other choice is having me park on the island by myself or riding on back. Thinking some great dances are in store for the Ben Bostrom Highway. |
