Okay, I have to ask, is there a bike in the kitchen, or is there a kitchen in the garage. Regardless, it does give me a few ideas for a winter project.  And apparently this rider is getting ready for a trip to England.   And, finally, if someone was good at Photoshop or some other pic manipulation software, this would be a great photo to clip/swap in some bikes in place of the aircraft.  Seems like it was a great time. Not quite enough to move back to Calif. for, but with the new Governator maybe things will start to get better out west there. Planning next summer's vacation in any case. Thanks for the pics and reports, nice reading/viewing. | ||

And apparently this rider is getting ready for a trip to England. i tried to bait Mr. Page with a jab along these lines already, and he didn't have any part of it. maybe THIS time, Scott? Seems like it was a great time. Not quite enough to move back to Calif. for... nah, it really SUCKS here, Mike. we hate every minute of it. the damn sun always shines, we're ALWAYS having to tend to the flowers, and continually having to work on our tans gets pretty old after a while. why, we even HAD to have a steak BBQ and cozy little campfire out on the patio last night and watch the stupid old sun go down after a truly miserable 90-degree fall day which saw about a bazillion motorcycles cruising thru the area (i was one of them), and even the lake yesterday was dotted with obviously insane jet skiers braving the frigid conditions. and who would EVER want to live within a minute's ride of world-class sportbike roads such as the Sierra Highway, Hwy 155 (the Ben Bostrom Highway), Mountain 99, Sherman Pass, the Western Divide Highway, Parker Pass, Alta Sierra, Old Stage Road, Jack Ranch Road, the Mighty 190, Granite Road, The Lion's Trail, Yokohl Valley Road... it TRULY sucks to be surrounded by mountains and rivers and streams and giant trees and endless twisties in every direction. yep, California is no place for the timid or weak of spirit. EVERYONE: KEEP OUT! STAY AWAY!! THIS PLACE IS EVEN WORSE THAN YOU IMAGINE!!! FBaD  (let us know when you'll be in the area next summer, Mike, we would be glad to show you around. bring lots of sunscreen...) | ||

 Tripping the light fantastic down Hwy 190 (The Mighty 190). This pastel represents the view from the pillion of my R1150RS. I admit that it was not from OktoberFAST weekend itself...but it was, in fact, from eBear's recon weekend. If you look very carefully, and squint just right, you may just be able to imagine Ferris and Denise on Thong just around that curve. Thank you to my lovely and talented pillion (and wife), Charlotte, for the art work. Bomber, Thanks, we're glad you enjoyed it. It loses something in the downsizing...but is still pretty slick. The original is 9"x12". I'm thinkin' a series of moto themed note cards would be cool! I can't help but wonder what she'd have done if I wore a Rossi repl helmet. Dino | ||

Ferris: "Valendino"...Took me a minute. At first I thought you were merely spelling impaired. I gotta get rid of the Katana. With the FZ and the RS I can cover the range of U.S. legal speeds with just first gear. The FZ does sound a bit busy at freeway speeds, though. | ||

(and she damn near piddled, too!) for anyone who wasn't there, that's a piece of frikkin' welding rod sticking out of the Thong's nearly new rear Dunlop. no, it's not supposed to be there. regarding the pic of the old, bald guy pumping up his newly plugged tire, well, THAT'S the photo that Dino was s'posed to purge into e-blivion. obviously he has finally taken some offense at all the "can't get it outta 1st gear" shots i've fired his way. that's ok i guess -- anything to provide Denise with a good laugh, right? (ha effin' ha, she was laughing so hard she got a stomach ache!)
