About the est. bike count.... I'm still saying we'll have between 120-150 people. Most of them will be on individual bikes. You're probably wondering how I'm arriving at that number.... We have 60+ registered for the Thursday dinner. However, there are MANY more people just attending the Wednesday ride because of work or other committments. At a conservative estimate, I would guess that number to be approx. 2x the number registered for dinner. Does that make sense to anyone besides me???

Lake, That makes sense. Question: how many out of towners are attending the dinner vs. out of towners not attending the dinner? Question: How many regionally locals are attending the dinner? Question: How many signatures have been collected on the various cards sent to Spidey so far? I don't really expect any answers, I'm just in a questioning mood since I usually have more questions than answers. Relative to your comment: I'll be there for the ride Wednesday, not for the dinner Thursday night, so 60+ could indeed more than double based on that. But are there more than 60 local Buell owners around? Or has the word gotten out to local Buell owners who are not in one of the primary local Buell BRAG groups? It seems like many of us are often running across someone with a Buell who is not active on the web and is not associated with any nearby BRAG group. Promotion isn't my forte, but I do what I can locally. Shoot, just last week I rode past a shop where a Buell owner works and rev'd my bike engine up a bit. I've already told him about the local BRAG groups though, so the rev was more of a howdy than a where-are-ya type of thing. At least 60 on the ride? Probably. Over 100? Could be. 150? I'd be very surprised, smiling but still surprised, especially for a weekday event on the week before HarleyFest. We'll know in 6 days though. Hey, isn't there a song about 6 days on the road? gotta go. bye.

I think the 120 bike prediction is way off, but we will see next week. I am going off the membership around here & those on the various boards have committed to going. I think CJ is pretty close with her 64 bike guess. |

COOL!!! Ok Here are some ideas to put out and I think it might be fun...maybe CJ and I can be in charge? Longest ride to the gathering...???... award Shittiest weather to the gathering...???...if it snows or hails on you that is automatic brownie points... Most stuff crammed onto a Buell, any Buell...???... Bet on how many Buells we get at the factory on Wednesday at noon... I can count and I am not counting Harleys... for once they don't count... ay??? Comprendo. If you have a guess you have to post it here for it to count so we have a record... I have to give my guess some thought... Newfie, be safe and let me know when you get to Detroit or have Spidey call me at home then... ok? PS Did you get your passport in order? Bye, Char

72 at Hal's for the ride and breakfast cleanup catchup ride. 103 at East Troy at the Buell factory. "Most stuff crammed onto a Buell, any Buell...???... " This one I might have a shot at. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/board-profile.cgi?action=view_prof ile&profile=mikej-users Just might have to gear up for the 30 miles to Hal's. |
