My thoughts are the same Chris.I found Dyna's ### and called him but his wife said he couldn't come to the phone and call back.I wanted to talk to him about it but he must of been sitting on the pot or something. |

CJ, more than willing to lead, follow or whatever. Just want to try & get an idea on what the participants....not us from the local area...are interested in. Do the out of towners prefer takin it ez & hanging out, or do they want to put on another 1500 miles? Do they prefer McDonalds, Chili's, Bar food?? Hell even a night at a local Bowling alley or up at Romines shooting pool would be a great time as well. Come on folks & respond as to what you would like to do & the planning will be finished in no time. |

Another thought is this, Motorcycles may the underlying reason why we get togther & hang out. But it doesnt mean thats all we have to do is ride, ride, ride. Take the bikes to the local alley or pool hall & take the place over for a few hrs. Seems like those are the times that are most memorable to everyone. |

Nice comments. Show a lot of concern about what our guests would like to do when they get here. Don't know about you, but I would consider asking them for ideas on what they would like. Assuming they are reading this thread, perhaps it would be a good idea for them to add their comments. Any comments from the "Visitor's Bureau?" |

I'm gonna show up at the hotel lobby on Tuesday evening meet Dana and the rest of the crew who are there, then go to some nearby establishment and eat pizza and drink Pepsi and shoot the bull.(I'll kick in for pizza!) Wednesday, I'll be at Hal's, sign the card, ride to East Troy, and tour the plant. Thursday morning, I'm getting a tattoo; along with Tony(Spiderman),Dana, maybe(but probably not) Newfie and anyone else who wants one. Thursday evening is the dinner (I hope my check made it!) Friday, there's Battletrax. What am I missing? It looks like I'll have free time on Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon. This is going to be so neat! I want to meet everyone; especially Dyna. I want to really enjoy the can of Pepsi He's going to owe me.I also want to tell him about my dealings with Customer Service (180 degrees from his experience). I want to meet All you people who put so much work into making this gig work. I can hardly wait! |

Here's my comments: As far as riding goes, I'm leaning toward taking it easy. A 100-200 mile ride on Thursday might be fun. Get a chance to ride some roads in SE Wisconsin. But I wouldn't be interested in an all day, sunup to sundown ride. I was thinking about touring the Powertrain Operations where they build the Sportster and Buell engines. For groups of 10 or more they want reservations 14 days in advance so everybody couldn't go together unless we want to make a reservation and soon! Other than that, just hanging out. Shooting some pool sounds like fun. I only have reservations for the room for Tue., Wed. and Thur. nights so I'm not sure about the Battletrax event. I had planned on taking off Friday morning or at least not hanging out all day but I'll see what happens. I'm sure I could stay another night if needed. As far as food goes I'm pretty flexible. I'm not a picky eater. Burgers, mexican, whatever is fine with me. The only exception would be some fancy, 5-star restaurant. I'm not packing a suit and tie! Jeans and t-shirts is all I'll have. Will I get a tattoo? Probably not, but don't let me stop anybody else! |

Interesting feed back from those coming in from out-of-state for the Buell 20th. Let's hear some more comments from the "Visiting Firemen" on what they would like to go, see and do even if it is repetitive. Thanks all... |

I'm pretty much on the same channel as M2me and Crusty. I'm planning on going to the meet and greet with you guys on tuesday night. On Wednesday, I'll do breakfast, and the card presentation gig. Hopefully, I'll also get in a factory tour, find the Buell employee that I met at Long Beach last year who works in the material testing lab (I can't believe I forgot his name, but he rides an S2), and drop off a resume... as far as Thursday goes, I'm pretty open, A round trip ride around 200-300 miles would be cool. I'd love to see the area. I also wouldn't mind sitting around and bench racing, or going for another factory tour. Oh yeah, and dinner with ERIK BUELL. Friday I'll probably watch the Battletrax (might particapate), BS, check out bikes, and rest up for the ride home on Saturday. Of course, I might stick around all day Saturday and watch the second round of battletrax and take off Sunday. I have the last two weeks of Aug off work, so it's not a real issue for me. As far as food goes, I'm not picky, but I prefer good local food to chain food. James BTW, Nevco, Do you need anything from Cali that I can bring you? |
