Just did a quick look at a map today, and it looks like about 1500 miles from here. That would be a gas, I think. My wife likes the idea a lot, too. She's never done a Long ride. Bill if you would like to get a group to go Thursday the 21st in the morning and then be back in time for the dinner that evening thats awesome.I'll let you decide.Thursday is kind of a freeride day until the dinner.So if you think you can squeeze the ride there and the tour and be back for the banquet dinner feel free to do so.Great idea in all but can that be done??? | |||

What the Hell!!!! Seeing I will be in Wisconsin I am game for anything!!!!!! Well keeping in mind the legality issues associated with anything - I do need to get back to Newfoundland. Newfoundland anything goes but them damm Upper Canadians are another story - with the exception of a few. As for a Newfoundland Trip - I think it would be a Blast. I could arrange to meet people at one end of the island take you across to the east coast about 7 hrs straight drive (done it about 6 times so far this summer) tour the island a bit and send you back the Argentia Boat Run. Another interesting fact is that the US had a major navel base in Argentia from WWII to about 10 years ago. edited by Newfie_Buell on July 21, 2003 | |||
