Pictures are a test of Xat's ability to do entire picture processing task.Sorry for size. (Message edited by ebear on January 03, 2008) |

It'd be nice if we could tweak some sections to allow larger photo sizes... like the tale section. |

OK... so how did you get the one Posted on Wednesday, January 02, 2008 - 12:44 pm (an S2?) so sharp but so small in size?!?!? |

Bill...take a look at the same shot above it and in this case the larger one is clearer...then if you right click on the two shots and go to "properties" you'll see that the upper one is almost 60k and the lower one is only 16k...extremely small for this clarity!Im experimenting on "your guys time" (sorry!) to achieve good results using only XAT.I get asked alot how to post pictures with good results so I am trying to get a simple process that can be followed by the Badwebbers using free software. I use Photoshop to crop and size and xat to post to the web but not everyone has these programs availiable. |

I use photoshop elements, which I assumed had the same jpeg engine... obviously it doesn't, or I don't know how to use it. I can get it smaller, but not sharp, I get the spiderwebs everywhere and that kind of soft look. If you can do it with the gimp, I can probably build a web page that people could use as an "automatic badweb photo resizer"... |

Yup! Figure out how to do it with some sort of series of steps with the gimp, or any of the imagemagik libraries, and I can put together a "converter web page" pretty easily... even if the steps are fairly tortured. Resizing into an 800x600 bounding box with imagemagik is really easy, I built a web app that used it years ago. Heck, for that matter I could probably do it with XAT, except that it would probably violate their licensing and I don't like to lower myself to windows hosting http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php (Message edited by reepicheep on January 04, 2008) |

Sorry for the poor quality....these are being processed from a thumb drive from images already modified using picassa.if you know someone that was here and they want a copy I will process from Originals this weekend and have availiable to email. I REFUSED to go up to the corkscrew and shoot you guys with my camera...not only did I not have my camera rainjacket but I would have had to walk and actually I was very busy working on my Bike most of the day! If by some chance you were at the DEALER TRAINING on MONDAY I have alot of great shots from the track and at school...so if theres any interest I can post or for a small shipping fee I will send you the entire CD.... |

I think it's funny that 99% of the guys are shaking their heads saying, "Poor quality? Where?" The pictures look great Ebear, thanks for taking a soaking to get them and taking the time to share them with us. Pleeeeeeez tell me you have a shot of Firemanjim in his Rain (Sister's/1982/Disco) Leathers. I heard one of the instructors say he couldn't keep up with Jim though, so maybe I could borrower that "Rain"suit some time. And mad props to Al at American Sports Bike for the hydraulic clutch actuator. Notice I'm 1-fingerin' it in the above shot? |
