Hey, bumping this as I'm trying to cut back and deflate a bit. I used to be around 180lbs most of my adult life, but in the last few years I've been eating more and my metabolism slowed, so I decided that this year I'm going to cut back and try to get back to 180. That is still high for my height, but not as bad as the 210ish I hit last fall. I'm not doing anything fancy, just reducing how much food I eat for now. I'm still eating garbage, just not as much. I may start eating healthier in the future. I'm going to try and check in once a week, 01/02/2021 - 205 01/09/2021 - 200 01/16/2021 - 196 |

holy thread revival!! I'm back to riding the Max Trainer 6 days a week. at this point in time I'm not to worried about the weight. I just want to sleep and be able to move a LOT better. Sitting on my ass at the same job since 1997 has taken its toll. But I will still eat like a pig at the WV Buell Rally |

I've made some pretty marginal (not eating Five Guys for lunch & dinner 3 days a week) changes and have gone from 272# to 194#. I'm shooting for 183#, the weight I was when I was competing on a Big 8 Gymnastics scholarship in college. I've been riding my bicycle 25 - 53 miles a day which is easy to do while on conference call. Had a bad crash Tuesday afternoon and was out for a while (thank goodness for motorcycles for making me a believer in great helmets) and I've been walking in the last couple day. Did 4 miles in the sand this morning on the beach in front of the house. Blood pressure has dropped . . . pants was it has dropped 8" and I feel better than I have in years. But . . . .I still have to slip into Five Guys from time to time and I still love it. |

I bought a quality Vanson racing suit for a good price last fall, in anticipation of a few track days to learn and hone skills best practiced on a closed course. I can get into it, but its a bear to get out of, and will fit better if I drop about 15 lbs. I've decided that if I can get down to fit in the suit, I've earned a dedicated track bike. At least that's the logic I'm telling my family... |

1/23/2021 - 194.4 So, progressed slowed quite a bit. I did eat quite a bit more this week than last week, and those that follow me on Facebook saw the giant platter of wings I got. Those wings ended up being my meals for most of the week. I do feel I have a good understanding of how much I can have to maintain or reduce my weight. I know people often use apps to count calories and such these days, I'm just winging it. |

Court, congrats on making the 1000th post on this thread! 1/30/2021 - 191.8 I'm so close to being back in the 180s, I'll be at my goal weight faster than I originally anticipated, so I'll keep going beyond that. I think at this point I need to adjust what I'm eating, so that I'm having less garbage in general. Wolf - Keep it up! |

2/10/2021 - 188.4 So, last week was absolutely nuts for me, so I didn't have a Saturday check in. Like many in the north east, we got a boatload of snow from Sunday to Wednesday morning, so I spent several days basically sitting around doing nothing other than shoveling, and eating more that I usually do just out of boredom. Then once I got back to work, I ended up working OT every day including Saturday to setup and maintain the technology at a Covid vaccination site. So I had no real routine or schedule, and I do think I ate more than normal, and didn't return to "normal" with everything until last Sunday. Today I'm heading out of town, me and my fiancé are celebrating our anniversary this weekend in Salem Mass, so I know I will be pigging out. I figured since I won't have my scale I'd just weigh in last night, and then when I get home Monday I'd weigh in again and see how bad I did. |

OK. I'm in. I just tipped in at 212, at least 15 lbs from where I'd like to max out, and at least 20 from my dream weight. So game on!! No real excuses here. Just a dawg to stare at me and complain about the excess gravitational pull he's feeling as my mass increases (Yes, with a "m"!!). So count me in on this thread of accountability. I need some kind of peer pressure. |
