We loaded up the bikes Wed evening, and headed out late
Got a cheap hotel for the night, up early and found the XB 1125R's awaiting us...
Rode and rode and rode
Some people rode harder
(shoulda stuck to frame pucks) A fine day was had by all
(perhaps with the exception of the 1125 R that high sided, tumbled, and hit a curb before sliding to a stop. It was well and truly crunched. A sad sight... but the rider appeared OK... sorry... they rushed it into the "plain unmarked white truck" before I could get pictures... I was gridded on the track at the time they drug it in) Excellent day, thanks Buell! The engineers and people that ran the event could not have been better... though a couple instructors made some alarming passes on me in Novice class, and a particular president of a particular motorcycle company stuffed my buddy in a turn in the intermediate class. Great day, and I couldn't be prouder of Buell. More tomorrow when I am not so exhausted.. the 1125 is a remarkable bike, with a motor that is unbelievable (to me). I don't fit the bike, but I want that motor in a lightning chassis. |

reep-it was good to me you and Bob, sorry I had to light out so quick but believe it or not I had a hockey game to play. The ride home seemed pretty damn boring Which I guess is good in a way. I hope Buell can do this every year, as it was the most fun I've had on two wheels. |
