Just a quick note about the events located in Myrtle Beach this past week. Due to the nature of the area all sorts of bike events were located up and down the whole Grand Strand(60 plus miles). I personally counted 15 other riders on Buells this week ranging from 3 M2 cyclones, a trio of X1 Lightnings( blue w/ racing stripe, silver millenium and a X1W), 2 XB Lightnings, three Firebolts (a very clean white one), three Thunderbolts (2 S3's a very clean black sleeper and a silver one parked at the convieniance(sp?) store next to the Dog House, a S2 with chain drive conversion and I forgot a black Blast was seen at a couple of spots. I deliberately stopped and talk to each rider when i could find them and was surprised at the reaction my S1W got where ever a stopped. there seems to be a GREAT INTEREST IN THE BIKES and almost everyone I spoke with was enjoying them and riding them as there were designed to be ridden. Even the non harley riders were in respect for what our bikes are capable of. It felt real good to be a part of this community At the Dog House North there was a stunt crew along with a couple of guys stunting on Firebolts and a Xb12r Firebolt set up on a wheelie machine. IT'S TOUGHER THAN IT LOOKS! For those who think this is a poser event, I clocked over 400 miles in three days of riding. the roads are there to be found and I would recommend this to anyone as a fun way to spend a few days with great weather and a city that is completely biker friendly.
